My N95 is sealed against my face with silicon.
I can't in good conscience wish COVID-19 on anyone, but you and the other anti-PPE types around here...

Funny how you only attempt to supply this information AFTER you are called on it. From a source that no one has heard of. Just like you.

Making my point for me, not even knowing what infectious is or means but going at boring length about some you admit to knowing nothing about.

Perfect description of you and your bogus claims.

I guess copyrights are something else you know almost nothing about.

The study is true, but you will never admit it as it belies everything you have stated and shows it to be false, as most of us already know.

"Guess" is all that you do which is why you are wrong so often. You even admitted that one of y our posts was deleted for copyright infringement. If you know so much, how did this happen?

How about all the people wearing them yet the infection rates are still rising? Or is that not evidence to you oh great and all knowing?

IOW, you could not find even 1 (one) randomized clinical trial demonstrating that masks reduce the spread of any virus. In fact, your source confirms that the "masks are not effective for preventing exposure to fine particles when worn as personal protection."

"It is well known that surgical masks are not effective for preventing exposure to fine particles when worn as personal protection [18].

A lot of masks have 2 elastic loops which go behind the ears and they don't do a very good job of holding the mask to a person's face, when a person exhales the pressure within a mask literally lifts the mask away from a persons face more so if it has been worn for a long time, this can be seen by inhaling smoke from a cigarette or something, pulling the mask back up and exhaling, you can see the smoke blowing out around the edges of the mask, if the breath had been carrying a virus it would be spread to share with others.

I have a case of 3M P-95 masks that I used to wear when sanding certain woods, some woods like Ipe are really nasty to inhale, the 3M masks are nice they have a metal tab that can be bent to shape the mask to wearers face, but they do leak, Ipe (Ironwood) will leave a red stain on anything moist, I was building a stool and used Ipe as it is so strong I can get away with thinner wood making the end product lighter then if I used other hardwoods.

Got it all sanded down and called it a day, inside i went to take a shower and I noticed that I had 2 dark red streaks running down both sides of my nose, even with the mask pinched to fit my face it still leaked when I inhaled.

As expected I was spitting out what looked like blood for a day or so as my lungs kicked out the Ipe wood dust, I going to chuck the remainder of the box of masks, but being cheap I just stuck them up in the loft, when the CV-19 scare came around I sold them in lots of 5 on e-bay for a fair, not a ripoff markup, within an hour of the offer being posted two buyers bought all 90 that I had up for sale.

I believe never let a crisis go to waste, but don't gouge people either.

Later during the scare I ran into a uninformed self appointed mask inspector, who saw me walking around Home Depot wearing a 6300 with gas filters that do a real good job of trapping virus's in the static part of the filter, he was very happy to see such a good citizen following Lee Counties voluntary common sense mask rules and actually praised me for doing so, I imagine he was smiling, but I couldn't see if he was or not, he was wearing a home made cotton mask, I did my best to not laugh in his face as my breath was literally blowing out of the check valve on the front of my 6300, totally unfiltered, into his now close to me face, had I been infected I would have infected him fist bump be dammed.

But hey I am a model citizen setting an example that all should fall in behind and with our jackboots on, march right over to the paint department and buy up all the 6300's we can find.

And I had thought about it and was a shyster, I would have cleaned out my refinishing suppliers inventory of 6300's and filters intended to capture lacquer based over spray, straddle over to HD sit out in the corner of the parking and sell them off for 100% more than I paid, but still lower than the going price for them anywhere else, I could have put a grand or two in my pocket in just a few hours.

Sort of like the people who see a hurricane heading toward them, drive to another area out of the path and buy up all the generators the local Northern Tool stores have in stock, take them back to ground zero and resell them on a street corner for a 100% markup.

One of the most wonderful parts of a crisis is gaining profit, power and effing people over and the U.S. government, with the uninformed backing them, have done a fine job of doing both with the CV-19 crisis.

You might want to apologize for posting such a hateful comment.
I doubt that on reflection, you really wish, "in good conscience" that a deadly disease infect anyone - even those who disagree with you.

He was not exonerated by Mueller who cited instances of Trump's obstruction.

Yet the government claims that virtually all people have the virus. So you sit in your basement and stare out the window?

For you to find, just as you task others to find what you claim is true.

You can't have it both ways as it shows your claims to be false.

Obviously not as you feel compelled to answer, showing that your statement is just an attack.

    LOL
So what does it say about non-fine particles?
"Together the studies show that surgical masks can limit the emission of large droplet spray and aerosol droplets larger than 5 µm"

"Nevertheless, the overall 3.4 fold reduction in aerosol copy numbers we observed combined with a nearly complete elimination of large droplet spray demonstrated by Johnson et al. suggests that surgical masks worn by infected persons could have a clinically significant impact on transmissio
    n"

"and that the effect of facemasks was to produce a statistically significant 25 fold reduction"

And the list goes on and on.......You lost your double dare
