    As long as folks refuse to comply with the precautions and the virus continues to run ut of control........ someting drastic mighthave to be done. Shuting down the country would be the last resort....... and even then it would be selectively.......as essential servies would have to reamin inoperation.

    What would YOU suggest as a plan to deal with the pandemic........that is running amok.?

    Not sure we can revert to jungle rules of "survival of the fittest"........ and gamble with folks lives.

    Fact: This election has been one of the best run events in along time. Such a wonderful turnout. The nation was done proud........until!!! And NO..... No one is stealing the election.......no matter how many times some want to repeat it. Donald: adopt a change of character and do the gracious thing. You claim you have class. Let's see some. It is YOUR image that you are damaging.

    Valid point. The question is: how and why does a citizen group become compliant?? Is it because they, collectively have been conned........seduced into following a certain ideology?? or?? Or a persuasive charismatic person?? Yes....fear tactics are very powerful and the basis of cult formation/ behavior too.

    Authority has an advantage of the threat of government force behind it. What we are seeing in some states is that proactive threat where ideological identities are immune and others under the boot of government force.

    You are correct. Any NORMAL person would do it and do it graciously...........as the history has shown. (well....at least the appearance of graciousness;-)

    we are not dealing with a "normal' person this time. His psychological pathology has tasted REAL POWER and is not going to let go........and he has money problems and legal problems to ideal with once the protective cover of POTUS is no longer there. His mental make up cannot accept any form of losing.......and he will manipulate the situation until he can leave in the most face saving way ......for him. He might actually BELIEVE he won........( making him delusional - ) IF he does not believe he won.........the fact he keeps saying it make shim a pathological liar. ( and we all know he has a problem with truth telling as verified by volumes of fact checked material )

    Indeed. IF he rally loved the country so much.....he would be doing something about the current crisis........ that exist on a muli layer level. He is virtually ironing the pandemic , probably banking on the vaccines to "solve " the problem. If he cared about the country........he would care about the people living in it. and their physical health as well as their financial health.

    Not long but it doesn't matter. He FINALLY sees that Trump's Rising Star is a crashing meteor that will burn up before it reaches the ground, momentarily bright and then gone forever with maybe an explosion to end the show. His negotiations with FOX for a pundit job probably fell through due to his competition being some of the best looking professional liars I've seen on the home screen yet and he being the best walking ad for diabetes and heart problems conceivable. OANN and InfoWars don't pay nearly as much as a Rupert Murdoch concern so he has to keep some chops as a working attorney since lawyers who are laughed out of court on just entering don't command nearly as high a fee as they once did.

    The next big question for a smooth transition comes on January when we see how big of an ******* Trump wants to be. We have the no class option by skipping it or the really tacky option of holding a competeing event.
