Guess its easier to take Trump at his word with no evidence right ? I mean, its only democracy at stake here right ? Are we seriously going to end this grand experiment by following a man who, 15 minutes into his presidency tried to tell us he had the largest inaugural crown in US history, and that the photos showing he was wrong were "lies" ?

I believe it started the very minute BO directed his DOJ to run illegal wiretaps on the Trump team and transition team. It hasn't stopped. Why do you suppose that you've never worried about that?

I don’t believe there’s enough evidence to change this election at all. But did you apply the same standards to Russian collusion, bribery, rape, Hitler and everything else in the kitchen sink that Trump was accused of? I’m betting no. You’re bitching about crowd sizes, but did you give a crap that Obama lied about the ACA? Pelosi would pass it before she knows what’s even in it? FAR BIGGER issue than meaningless exaggerated crowd sizes.

But at least we know what’s truly important, eh:)

Yes. And are you saying their was not enough evidence to investigate when the Russians interfered in our elect to the benefit of Donald Trump. You know Trump was not under investigation until he fired Comey right ? Was that enough to investigate him and his possible role, because they hadn’t done that until then.

I never bitched about Trump until he lied. I called him out on them, and I will call everyone out on their lies. Trumps problem is that he does it so often.

When it comes to ethics, and the law, I hold everyone to the same standard. I don't lump anyone into any category until they give me reason, or proof that they are in that category. Everyone gets the same benefit of the doubt

I know their are tons of lies ABOUT the ACA. And NO, it was not the greatest law, but remember that the only way it got to be a law was to give concessions to the right. It was a starting point, but thanks tot he right in this country, we now have the same thing we had before it, and rates increasing at un-sustainable levels every day. But I don’t worry, because I know in 2 weeks Trump will be introducing his “better plan”

They were spying long before Trump fired Comey which had no impact on the investigation. Dear ****ing god how can you be so misinformed?

    They all do.

Every state says the winner of the state electors shall be by popular democratic vote.

Either the Democrat electors win or the Republican electors win.

And the idea that the Democrat electors will switch their allegiance and vote for Trump is ridiculous

It's been openly flaunted, and the legislature has full discretion to decide

The legislatures don't have the discretion to violate state law.

State law is clear on how electors are to be chosen, and that is by a majority win of the popular vote.

Obviously, some of them don't understand how Electors are chosen.

If state legislators can just ignore the popular vote and the people's choice then we might as well just get rid of democracy

Let the corporations and wealthy people choose our leaders.

Like I said before, under the old system, the state legislators just selected the electors for president themselves.

It was only later that all the states each decided they wanted to give the vote to the people.

In my opinion, this kind of shows us how messing with how the original Constitution worked can result in some unanticipated problems.

    True.

Which is exactly why the States CAN'T change the Rules (at this time).

Just put the 2 nominees in a Hell in the Cell next time. Winner becomes president. If Trump is the 2024 nominee, let the Dems nominate Dwayne Johnson....

That's right; elimination of the Electoral College would go a long way. Up until this election I used to have faith in the EC system; seeing what the republican's are trying to pull, has soured me towards the EC. If a vote were held tomorrow, I'd gladly vote to eliminate it and go with the popular vote instead.

Maybe we shouldn't have the people vote at all.

I mean they did vote for Trump in 2016 so clearly we cannot be trusted

That would either be Fascism, or a system like China.
