I suspect he knows that he does things that are illegal, but he doesn’t think it is wrong for him to do them. He would not hesitate knowingly to break the law if he thought he could get away with it, and granting himself a pardon is a perfect way to get away with anything he has done in the past.

He will pitch it differently to his supporters. He will say that the last 4 years has shown the Democrats to be corrupt people who will do anything to bring him down and the only way to protect himself from another witch hunt will be by granting himself a pardon. All BS of course, but his supporters will eat it up.

1 no people close to trump get pardons, you might be right and this was fake news
2 no people close to trump get pardons, but it was seriously under consideration and this story is true
3 people close to trump do get pardons and this story is true, which disproves your cry of “fake”

Dems are sore losers, dems are also sore winners. Dems have already declared that they would start a vicious and vindictive witch hunt and fishing expedition against every member of Trump's administration.

Trump absolutely should pardon everyone, this will kick the teeth out of Dems' fascist plans of endless persecution. The left's meltdown will be spectacular when they realize they can bark but aren't be able to bite.

 

4. Someone tried to bribe the presidency for a pardon and got caught and this story is true. Because only in liberal Democrat La-La Land is the victim of a bribe the guilty party.

 

This thread isn’t about bribes. It’s about people close to trump asking for pardons.

 

Trump wont pardon himself because he knows that he will never be prosecuted for anything. We will never prosecute a former president for crimes while they were president. That requires politicians to make that happen, and they will never cave on their own for fear of being caved in on. Its a very slippery slope for them, and they know it. But their is also the question of the legality of "crimes" by a sitting president, who has immense legal powers.
