    Still wouldn't call it terrorism.

Or attempted murder. Terrorism charges make sense:

On the night of October 11, 2020, multiple shunts were placed in three different locations in Whatcom and Skagit Counties. The shunts triggered an automatic breaking system on a train that was transporting hazardous and combustible material. The emergency breaking then caused a portion of the train to decouple from the engine. Decoupling has the potential to cause a derailment—in this case—of tanker cars of flammable gas in a residential area.

    Tresspass? LOL...

Attempted murder would be a ridiculous charge. Terrorism makes no sense.

Do you have any words of condemnation for the tree-huggers who almost derailed a train full of hazardous material? Or just words of defense? I'd just like to be clear on where you stand.

I would say terrorism charges make more sense than your idea of charging them with trespassing.

Personally, I'll be pretty satisfied that justice has been more-or-less served if there's a federal felony conviction for the "wrecking trains" statute I listed earlier and they spend a decade or two in prison.

Bellingham women. I bet they both voted for Biden.

    Huh?

Not sure what you mean by that.

Anyway, back on-topic, I hope the WA Authorities can put a lid on this criminal activity.

I wish then good luck, and Godspeed.

I have already been "clear" where I stand. Terrorism is overcharging the defendants.

You only think that because you're unacquainted with 18 USC § 1992. Let me ask you this: How long do you think the perpetrators ought to go to prison for, if it were up to you?

I would be OK with 15 to 20 years.

18 USC § 1992 uses "or other offenses" besides terrorism. I would sentence them to 1,000 hours cleaning graffiti off the sides of railroad cars put there by other "terrorists" damaging railroad property.

Would you consider the disruption of our railways with the potential and near derailment of hazardous material train cars comparable to graffiti?

I consider the "potential derailment" as close to attempted murder and terrorism as a jaywalker who could potentially cause a school bus, to swerve, flip over a hill and land on van full of nuns attempted murder and terrorism. When it happens, I am right there with you. Until then, it is just a nuisance crime.

The big picture issue being missed is that all they did was trip a system on the train. If that automated system can potentially cause a derailment, then we really need to go back to the drawing board with it. This is comparable to the recent Boeing design problem.

The whole idea of Punishment is so that other bad people will be more reluctant to commit these types of Crimes. I don't like CRIMINALS that cause the Deaths of good innocent people and what these two women did was malicious and trying to harm or kill people. Thank goodness that a School Bus full of kids didn't happen to drive through that Railroad crossing when a Train was coming by and there were no signals or control arms to prevent them from crossing in the path of that train at the precise moment. Crap like this has happened before and I have no sympathy for these Women spending the better part of their miserable lives in Prison.

Sorry, the homegrown terrorists were doing it on purpose.

Sure because they would have known that the defective design of an automated braking system could potentially derail a train but the designers did not.

They tampered with the safety devices on passenger rail, mis-guided or not that makes them domestic terrorists and candidates for Super-Max prisons.

If one of these Women had been named Kyle Rittenhouse, Liberals would be screaming for life in Prison or their Execution. These two Women blatantly and knowingly sought to sabotage & derail Trains carrying potentially dangerous cargo and were willing to put the lives of innocent citizens on the line and they didn't care. The only appropriate sentence is for a nice long stay at a Super Max prison.

Did they tell you that? Their actions certainly carried a significant risk of death / serious bodily harm to people. They performed those actions deliberately. It sure looks like they were trying to harm or kill people.

It's unsurprising, but still disappointing, how eager our leftists are to defend the saboteurs.

What is their problem with trains? Arent trains supposed to be the far-left's choice of freight transportation?

Maybe I'm just stupid, but Liberals in their TDS were willing to crawl in Bed with Violent Criminals, Antifa, BLM, Anti 2nd Amendment Gun Confiscation, Illegal Aliens, Defund the Police, The Chinese Communist Party and any other Foreign and Domestic Terrorists they thought would take them over the extremist Liberal Cliff that garnish them votes to get rid of President Trump. It's amazing the Socialist direction the Democratic Party is trying to take America into. Liberals support throwing a 17 year old in Jail for life for defending himself against armed rioters and looters in Kenosha, but when a two Liberal Women deliberately sabotage Trains to cause Death and destruction, Ahhhhh! let's just give um a slap on the wrist.
