To hell, you mean obviously. The ticket to hell. Aside from the constant sun I see no reason why California should attract so much hi-tech businesses. There is plenty of good-living space in the US. But most of it is located "elsewhere" other than California given its present population-density. I can understand nonetheless why California has one of the highest population-counts of all American states. Great sunshine and an everything-goes mentality. When there are jobs, it's great - when there aren't, people leave in droves. Muney aint everythin, boyz-'n-girlz. It aint everythin! We must understand that the economic-structure in the US has changed radically in the past 30-years. See what's happening here: BLS Employment by major industry sector. MY POINT IN THE ABOVE CHART Note above all that the linked-graphic shows that in the 2009 to 2029 time-span overall jobs in "Major Industries" are diminishing in the US! They are going where? Good question, and I see no-answer on the BLS-site! Uncle Sam's Manufacturing/Services Industry employment breakdown has changed forever. Note that Major Industry Sector overall-jobs in the 2009/2029 time-frame drops nearly 70%!!! This is my explanation of what is happening: Manufactured products are still being conceived in developed countries but they are being manufactured elsewhere. Namely China and the Far-east. Some of our US-production has already gone to Mexico. But Europe is also today buying from China, even though it has lower-cost manufacturing facilities in the new Eastern-Europe EU-countries. And people from China are seeking to come to the US to work? What-in-hell are we going to do with them!
Probably coming over here to manage their investments, not only have we been sending them jobs but also selling them the businesses to boot.
