That you need capitalism in America to survive. Especially if she wants to change anything.
Im arguing its not dishonesty to survive in the jungle. Even though she thinks she can change it. What exactly did she argue against free entrepreneurship that restricts her from selling shirts honestly?

    "
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) on Saturday called capitalism "irredeemable."

"Capitalism is an ideology of capital — the most important thing is the concentration of capital and to seek and maximize profit," she said during an interview at the South by Southwest conference in Austin, Texas, according to Bloomberg News.

"To me, capitalism is irredeemable," she added, arguing that capitalism's goals come at a cost to people and the environment, Bloomberg reported.

The congresswoman, who has described herself as a democratic socialist, added during her interview that "we should be scared."

"Just as there’s all this fearmongering that government is going to take over every corporation and government is going to take over every business or every form of production, we should be scared right now because corporations have taken over our government," she said.

Ocasio-Cortez also said that the "emphasis in democratic socialism is on democracy" and expanding the rights of workers.

"It’s just as much a transformation about bringing democracy to the workplace so that we have a say and that we don’t check all of our rights at the door every time we cross the threshold into our workplace," she said. "Because at the end of the day, as workers and as people in society, we’re the ones creating wealth."

Nothing here says she cant sell shirts on the side, like someone opening a lemon aid stand to support a cause.

And probably manufactured in a Chicom sweatshop by children for pennies apiece. Democrat politicians have more faces than a deck of cards.

Trump is not the one pushing socialism while selling $58 sweatshirts in a capitalist enterprise. Emphasis on SWEAT. I'd love to see where those are made. For $58, you can bet China, India, Vietnam...

You do not need it to survive when you get over a million a year from the tax payers.

This is when she argued against what she is doing. She is an absolute hypocrite and your efforts to spin it are proven wrong

And like I said its America. You have to in order to survive. People on EBT, living off the government also work, are they hypocrites? No, people just do what they gotta do.
You guys are gonna have to find something actually tangible to pick on her about...This is...nothing. Its sinking to push socialism, you should be proud she sees the benefit of capitalism.

Working to expand the rights of workers does not mean you cannot participate in capitalism.

Ahem! That's because -- altogether now -- it is NEVER wrong when a leftist does it! I think that this point is now 'settled science'.

    Uh-huh.

"That explanation came soon, though, in a tweet from Stephen Punwasi, the CEO of Canadian real estate site Better Dwelling. In it, Punwasi explained the actual cost to design a garment that’s made in America by union workers — as all of the items sold on Ocasio-Cortez’s website are. “That’s what it costs to pay everyone a decent wage along the way,” he wrote about the price, noting his past experience as a mass market apparel designer. According to his tweets, had Ocasio-Cortez chosen to manufacture her merch in a factory in, say, Vietnam that pays fair wages, the market price would be about $35. Make it in a sweatshop with dangerous conditions? The price would be closer to $12. “One person's spending is someone's income,” he wrote."

The problem with the origin of this thread being the misrepresentation of AOC's views.

Yeah, AOC the retarded pop culture politician. You could take her brain and shove it up a flea's ass and it would look like a BB in a boxcar. She should be censured for this, doesn't the congress have rules against this sort of thing? Even Trump had to give up his business to hold office. I think some clever entrepreneur should come up with a line of AOC the Retard attire.

    This is tangible.

It demonstrates the two faced hypocriosy of this entitled bitch. If she sees the benefits of capitalism then she should stop preaching socialism.

Let's be honest though ... there's probably less than one in a thousand who call themselves socialists who are what they say they are. We could call ourselves the King of Spain, but we'd still be us. Same applies to 'socialists'. It's just a little vanity they indulge. Totally meaningless.

She's never suggested that there's anything wrong with making a buck or two through capitalist enterprise.

    Nope, sorry. Won't wash.

SOCIALISM is a verb. If she's not 'doing it', she's not a socialist.

And immediately clarified that she didn't mean that she wants capitalism abolished but that she's not in favor of unrestricted capitalism. Go and read what she said.

By all means, you can criticize what you take to be clumsy wording, but to claim that she's ever called for the capitalism, or ever suggested that there's anything wrong with making a buck through capitalist enterprise would be dishonest.

If you find any websites that mention the "irredeemable" quote, but ignore her immediate explanation of it, are likewise dishonest.
