Michael Flynn Wants Trump To Declare Martial Law

Michael Flynn, President Donald Trump’s former national security adviser who was pardoned by the president last week for lying during the Russia investigation, wants Trump to declare martial law and “temporarily suspend the Constitution” until a new election is held.

Flynn, who had been awaiting sentencing for lying to the FBI about his Russian contacts before Trump’s pardon, on Tuesday retweeted a news release from a right-wing Ohio group called We The People Convention asking the president to declare martial law so troops can supervise a do-over of the 2020 election.

Never in the history of this country have there been people so close to power as dangerous for democracy.

As if more evidence was needed to prove that Trump and his cronies are fascists who will do anything to stay in power.

A former three-star general, a former national security advisor recently pardoned by Trump, who wants to take the army out into the streets to call off the elections....

I disagree with these calls for martial law, and frankly I think they're a disservice to the country(and not at all where Flynn's mind should be at this time.). The reality is, Biden won the election like it or not and we have to accept the election results and move on. I know I have. That's true patriotism to the United States.

 

I am sure that Trump is looking into whether he can do it. He will not stop until he is forced to

 

Not to scare you, but George W. Bush(the idiotic son) did pass an executive order to that effect that hadn't been rescinded. My recommendation to the Senate would be, if Trump enacted that order to immediately impeach the President.

Trump fired everyone who could temper him or be able to stand up to him.

I'm sure he's having private discussions about the possibility of bringing in the military, especially since he's put fanatics in key positions in the Pentagon.

There's a Bush EO(and EO's honestly have never been touched, though they should be. The point came up during DACA, and like everything else in America, we're inconsistent: Obama EO's: Good. Trump EO's: Bad(per the Supreme Court.) Most EO's are inactive, but can be activated such as the Bush EO that would allow martial law.

That said, I do not endorse martial law and I believe such an action would require an immediate impeachment and removal of Trump.

I'm not able to find it via google search thus far, though I also confess it might have been the hyperbole of the times(This might be the greatest proof to people that I was a Liberal pre-2013) as everyone was afraid of the Bush regime.

Closest thing seems to be the National Emergencies Act, which Trump has already invoked with regards to the coronavirus.

Keep in mind, Trump is probably pretty confident that no matter what he does certain elements of a political party and a major TV network will defend or make excuses for him

Flynn a self admitted criminal is suggesting that Trump commit an treasonous act against his country our country. Remember that Flynn had lied that he did not have contacts with Russian officials but he did. He had admitted to lying to the FBI.

Trump who has been lying like a Persian rug in Putin's Kremlin office and falsely claiming that those Demokratchyk guys are attempting a coup against him had just pardoned the Criminal Flynn who is extolling The Trumpocity to commit an atrocity of a coup. Could be known in the history books as Trumpocity's Atrocity.
