“The current proposal from the Problem Solvers Caucus, a group of 25 Republicans and 25 Democrats working to find bipartisan solutions, is $908 billion, significantly less than the $1.5 trillion proposed before the election. In October, the White House had also proposed a $1.8 trillion package, roughly twice the size of the one Pelosi is now backing.

When asked about her shift on supporting the much smaller package, Pelosi cited "a new president and a vaccine."

She added that the current proposal "has simplicity, it's what we had in our bills, it's for a shorter period of time, but that's O.K. now because we have a new president."”

The Ice Cream Princess admitted the truth here. She held the American people hostage, making us wait and suffer for stimulus relief. She never wanted a deal before the election even on relatively favorable terms for her. She wanted us to suffer so we’d blame the President for our misery.

Both sides are at fault. Pelosi/McConnell don't care about anything but their power

Well her position cost her over 20 seats in her house majority. She was supposed to gain 10-15 seats in November and actually lost 10 or 11 instead depending on how NY 22 turns out.

Our current president could care less about the Country and the tens of thousands sickened with Covid, and the daily thousands of deaths from it. All he is interested in is the destruction of democracy in the USA and himself.

That too was very unpopular with voters. The irony is that most of the democrats who lost were more relatively speaking moderate compared to the squad members and not the progressives pushing that trash. I live in a red district in California and we had lots of We back the Blue rallies last summer all over the district.

she hopes they can get more from a dem President, but really, if dems lose GA, they still have to deal with a republican Senate that doesn't care about the American working class

I do think she should have pushed for more for the people, letting republican win here was a bad move, especially as she is giving repubs the one thing they want, what motivation will they have to issue another stimulous now in the future, republicans won't just do it cause it's the right thing to do

The Republican Party is the working class party. The democrats are an elitist party of the rich.

Pelosi is almost as nasty and self-centered and vile and anti-America as Obama was. May they both rot in hell.

It should come as a surprise to NOBODY that we are all nothing but pawns for people like Pelosi and their vindictive power grabs.

Oh my, now Congress inaction is Trump’s fault. Bet you would blame a leaky faucet on Trump.

It needs to be. They want to give money to states, cities, businesses, and unemployment, but they're leaving out a huge chunk of people. Namely those Americans who for whatever reason don't qualify for unemployment but don't have enough savings or income to stay afloat as the cost of goods and services rise. A person on unemployment has had the opportunity to reap tens upon tens of thousands of dollars worth of free money. Yet someone who cant meet the criteria to get unemployment has to make do with a once time $1200 check? F THAT!

Republican in the Senate are the ones stopping our Stimulus, and Pelosi thinks she will be able to get more under Biden later, I say Republicans in the Senate will still be the hold up even then... mark this post and see if I was right

Democrats in the House passed a bill ages ago, Trump could of pushed the Senate to pass it, but failed to do so

if Biden failed to get Democrats to do a stimulus, but Republicans wanted too, I would say the same about Biden for not getting his party behind him

Way to misconstrue what she meant:

This smaller package is the stimulus appetizer. The larger package will come when Biden takes over in January.

Republicans are the only ones who care about the working class. It’s democrats who want to tax the working class.

it’s shocking how dems really believe they are the part of anything but the very rich and very poor.

if you make more than 50k a year, dems are not here to help you.

Republicans have proposed just as much that dems refused to back. But don’t let that get in the way of your resentment lol.

Republicans laid out terms and dems refused.

    vile people.

But it wasn't misconstrued, she could've easily passed something like this earlier if she wanted to(but she didn't), in order to influence the election. It's the same thing as CNN admitting that Trump was right about opening up schools, and that China hid intel the other day.

Could've been honest with the people but that would effect a Presidential election, so we've got to lie.

One thing for a politician to lie, it's another thing for a news anchor to lie. Since they don't like the moniker "enemy of the people" how about "worthless pieces of ****."

That larger part coming later will need to be reasonable and popular enough to get 60 votes in the Senate.
