Actually in Antietam those were only the ones that died on the actual battlefield.

Overall there were !7,000 that were wounded of which 2/3rds would die relatively shortly which easily makes it out bloodiest day ever.

I suppose you blame Lincoln for that huh?

Leave Trump alone. It's not easy trying to illegally overturn an election.

I blame the Confederate pro-slavery separatists.

When something bad happens, one always blames those who act in an immoral or irresponsible way. I happen to think it was the Confederates who acted immorally. From your "supposition" it looks like you believe it was Lincoln.... You're entitled to your opinion. I beg to differ.

In this case, the person who has and is now acting irresponsibly (or failing to act responsibly) is the one we put in charge of acting: President* Donald Trump.

And if you want to know what Trump should be doing... there are hints in what Biden is doing. Or, at least, planning to do when he has the power to act.

It won't be long before you'll have the opportunity to see how a man acts who is not afraid to accept his responsibilities.

Thanks. This the first time anyone has responded to the question. I will say that your link sounds more like a political ad than specific actions. The only thing that will stop the virus is vaccines and the current administration has handled that unbelievably well.

We are having a 9-11 just about every day now. Where is the President*?

He hasn't even tweeted anything about this pandemic in the last month.

The comparisons simply are not valid. When you spread the deaths over the whole population, it results in a relatively low death rate. Each of the other events affected a relatively small proportion of the population and their odds of surviving were much less.

For instance, you could arbitrarily pick only one state as an example because each state has their own rules or you could pick the entire earth's population for the same reason.

Trump has not handled the virus well. But I am not convinced there is a right way to handle it.. We cannot simply shut down the US because we still have to eat and survive. He could have mandated a virtually unenforceable mas and social distance rule, but that was never going to work. Simply being a good example and stronger recommendations would have certainly helped.

2.8 million people die every year in this country regardless of who is president some 7600 a day...
More like someone who doesn't know what his responsibilities are and likely isn't capable of coherently addressing them anyway.

    It's a disease, not a war.

Over the past two decades, influenza & pneumonia has been the 8th leading cause of death in America. From 1999 to 2018, there were 1,153,761 deaths in the United States from influenza and pneumonia – an average of 57,688 deaths each year. The overall death rate from influenza and pneumonia, however, was higher two decades ago than in recent years.
SOURCE: National Vital Statistics System, CDC WONDER. ICD-10-CM J09-J18.

    I don't deny the danger of Covid-19. But it's a friggin disease.

Mid March; Trump labelled himself as a wartime president.......

"Now it's our time. We must sacrifice together, because we are all in this together, and we will come through together. It's the invisible enemy. That's always the toughest enemy, the invisible enemy.”

    "We must sacrifice together''

    Did we?

''because we are all in this together"'

    Were we?

That's pretty funny when you consider we haven't heard a peep from your man this whole past week. He sure sulks for a long time, huh? Unlike trump, Biden will have qualified people who will be capable of handling any thing that requires handling.

"For those great 'historians', please remember that these great discoveries ... all took place on my watch!" Trump tweeted.................

    FALSE!

There is only one great discovery, and it's a genetic technology called "Synthetic Messenger RNA'', and there are only two vaccines that rely on messenger RNA, Pfizer and Moderna.

Thus, the question is; Was messenger RNA discovered on Trump's watch?

    Answer: Absolutely not!

    Who discovered messenger RNA?
