As I type, it is Christmas Eve down here and in less than 12 hours, my Grandkids will be demanding attention around theTree. So, I am about to nod off. But first... This has been pretty much my second year here. I came with an open mind on everything other than Humpty and a very clean, as in ignorant, slate on pretty much everything USA, especially on the judicial front. In that time, I have learned much thanks to the posters here, those with whom I agree, and those with whom I don't. The latter forced me to do some research so they have probably had a greater impact on my level of knowledge now, than those in the former group. I have had my share of differences with the Mods here, but I appreciate the work they do. However: Thanks to you all for the way I have been received, the good and the bad, as it has been fun for me. Of course, the background was tragic....Covid 19, and doubtless many here have suffered a direct personal loss because of it. Luckily, I have not, but that is likely because I happen to live down here, and we handled it differently including being able to take advantage of being a huge island Continent. Thanks for the Year's experience, and ....... Merry Christmas to your all from me, down here.

About to start a similar thread myself. My hope for all PF members is that they and their families have a safe and welcoming Christmas and that the new year brings us all good fortune. (I mean lets face it after 2020 we deserve a better year.)
I would prefer a Merry Christmas thread OP was limited to wishing people a Merry Christmas, rather as a partisan political declaration and making sure we all read the word "Covid" for the 736,148th time by someone on the other side of the world. But that's just my opinion. Merry Christmas everyone.
Merry Christmas I tried to find a funny Aussie Christmas card - I picked this one then thought “Gee the way that Roo is holding that candy cane looks a bit suss so here is A real bit of Australia to make you smile
Australian Christmas Carols Orana means welcome These songs by John Wheeler and W.G. James in 1914 have been underrated for years swamped by the commercialism from overseas - best sung by choirs enjoy!
Merry Christmas @Bush Lawyer and everyone else here at PF. It's been a wild ride here at PF this year and I don't see it slowing in 2021. I wish everyone a happy, safe and healthy Christmas season so we can all be here to duke it out next year!
Merry Christmas and always know it could always be a hell of a lot worse, but it isn't so it wasn't that bad...
No but we quite often have cold prawns and salads and even ice-cream Christmas cake - my fav version is actually a gelatine one that replaces the flour with brandy soaked prunes - talk about put you under the table!
In Quebec we go with the turkey, meatpie and pig knuckles ragout. With a big helping of potato and macaroni salads. For desert we have a piece of christmas log cake, with jello and ice cream.
Merry Christmas from the Motherland. Here's wishing you all a safe Saturnalia and a cool Yule. God Save the Queen.
