I held off on this until the victim was identified. Will this lead to George Floyd-style protests? I hope not:

Perp fired first plus he clearly wasn't masked up at the time. That's two strikes against him may he rest in peace.

The truth is -- enforced by them being given a free pass for all their violence over the course of the last six months -- not even the Dem Party leadership gives a damn when their hate-filled radical element trashes any of their Dem Party controlled cities.

Why are you trying to make this something it is not ?

Because some people don't care about a justified shooting, all they see is color. Ever since Fentanyl Floyd committed the last crime he will ever commit, some people found a way to go on free shopping sprees. The same thing happened in Ferguson and quite a few other places.

It is difficult to see anything solid on that video. They should release all of the body cam and dash video.

Again, your making things something they are not. There is absolutely no comparison here, but your trying to draw one based on your own bias’. There are actions of the police that are very much justified, and this is one of them. There are also actions that are not justified, like what happened to George Floyd. Two COMPLETELY DIFFERENT incidents and your doing exactly what you claim the other side is doing (their NOT), by trying to make both of them fit your narrative.

Fentanyl Floyd lived a life that steered him to his three nationally televised funerals. But what about Ferguson?

We are talking about the protests, not the inciting event. Are we about to get another round of looting and burning? If so, will the MSM and Democrats be cheerleading again (even after successfully stealing an election)? If so, can we all start blaming Biden for it?

No. The way he was killed led to 3 nationally televised funerals

That wast for him, it was for what he represented

Ahhh, the “stolen election” BS ........

Again, strop projecting what YOU think on what is happening. This is two VERY separate incidents.

Democrats didn’t support the looting, but they did support the protests.

He was a criminal, he represented crime. Is that who blacks want to represent them?

Only in America would there be protests for a guy who was killed after he shot at police....

    Because he was black.

    Not true.

Many blacks around the world would also use this as an opportunity for a free riot.

You can see the suspect's window shatter from the inside, proving HE fired on the officers and they returned his fire.

It is and was all released and in slow motion, I might add. Clearly this asshat DID fire first after ramming the officers with his car. Looks like the Minneapolis police are up on their shooting skills because no one else was killed or wounded. This multiple time felon was well ventilated saving the taxpayers and his future victims millions. Good shoot.

Is that how the police want to be represented ?

NOBODY is debating who Floyd was. But the police are not judge, jury, and executioner. THAT is why Floyd was a rallying cry

MOST OF THE RACIAL TENSION IN AMERICA IS FOMENTED BY JOURNALISTS: A “POLICE SHOOTING” IN MINNEAPOLIS.

Although, if you actually follow the link, the first thing you see in the Times story is that “[t]he chief said witnesses indicated that the man had fired first.”

It wasn’t a traffic stop, either, contrary to the Times report. It has subsequently been reported that the stop was incident to a firearms investigation.

In any event, a crowd of demonstrators appeared at the scene. They blocked traffic for several blocks and started a bonfire in the middle of the street to keep warm. Authorities pleaded with them not to riot or commit arson. Eventually the crowd dissipated, but that was probably due to the temperature dipping down to an overnight low below ten degrees rather than to the fact that the decedent, a criminal, opened fire on the officers. Rioting is more fun in May and June.

A little while ago, the Minneapolis Police Department released body cam footage of the incident. Here it is. This was no traffic stop. Multiple police vehicles converged on the suspect’s car. He first tried to drive away and then, blocked, started shooting at the officers. They returned fire.
