These ARE the same people who ALSO downplayed the virus, just like Trump, only they downplayed it a few days less than Trump. Perhaps that is what you meant @Injeun. It is ALSO incorrect to say that Trump claimed that is was a hoax @Statistikhengst. Trump said that the Democrats' politicisation of the virus was a hoax.

 

There damn well should be a memorial we lost a lot of people over this and its not even over yet. The political ideology behind opposing something like this is ranks right up there with the motivations for denying the Holocaust.

Mourning our dead from this pandemic should be a non-partisan issue and I will remind the current, soon-to-be Ex-President Trump had 10 months and a number of opportunities to console the nation, for instance, when we went over 100,000 or 150,000 or 200,000 or 250,000 or 300,000 and now, over 350,000 deaths. But no, he is so upset that he lost the election that he absolutely does not care about people who died from this horrible virus. He deliberately chose not to speak to the nation about this. G-d knows he is always glad to open his big mouth and brag about himself, 24/7, but for him to take a moment and console a hurting nation? Nope. No empathy, no caring there.
