The House will likely vote against any challenge along party lines. I doubt the Senate will vote differently.

That said, SCOTUS has refused to hear the cases on 'standing', etc., so this is where it will be heard. Each contested state will have a two hour debate in each chamber of Congress.

    Americans can see for themselves.

BTW, This is not a conspiracy theory ( @Grey Matter ).

    Public hearings are good.
Public hearings with full due process are the best way to expose the truth.

This is how democracy is weakened.

A whole conspiracy based on a lie is invented, repeated over and over again to make it a truth. Those who don't adhere to it are called traitors and Rinos.

For fear of being punished at the ballot box by their constituents, who blindly support a demagogue like Trump, other senators/representatives join in this nonsense that has absolutely no factual value.

The fact that the case has been overwhelmingly rejected by 50 courts and the Supreme Court twice does not change anything, because at this point this conspiracy is purely a political act of faith and has nothing to do with the facts.

But in the end, Joe Biden will be the 46th POTUS.

And the Conservatives who pushed this conspiracy theory will end up in the same way as those who followed Joseph McCarty in another era.

Calling something a theory because you have not seen evidence does not make it so.

The 50 judges who refused to hear the cases have seen them, the so-called "evidence".

Remember you set the stage for this when VP Harris refuses to read the votes of the Electors she doesn't like in 2024.
This is a really bone-head move by short-sighted Republican Congressmen.

Democracy is weakened by illegal spying on political campaigns for political purposes, by witch hunts and fishing expeditions against political opponents, by politicized impeachments, by corrupt legal system and its double standard...All the things you staunchly supported, you know.

Democracy is weakened by illegal changes to state election laws in the middle of on-going elections.

Making sure that all legal votes count and all illegally cast votes don't is how Democracy is strengthened.

By throwing the case out on procedure? No, not true.

Who said that? Senators have a Constitutional right, in fact an obligation to challenge results when the court has refused to step in.

But here is some good news!....

"Speaker Pelosi wrote in a letter to her colleagues that the House Republicans are subverting the Constitution, “As Members of Congress, we take a solemn oath to support and defend the Constitution. Republicans are subverting the Constitution by their reckless and fruitless assault on our democracy which threatens to seriously erode public trust in our most sacred democratic institutions and to set back our progress on the urgent challenges ahead.”

"Rep. Bill Pascrell (D-NJ) has called for House leadership to sanction and not seat the 126 House Republicans who have joined the Texas lawsuit.

    Pascrell said in a statement:

"Today I’m calling on House leaders to refuse to seat any Members trying to overturn the election and make donald trump an unelected dictator. pic.twitter.com/icTmGKCpuR

    — Bill Pascrell, Jr. (@BillPascrell) December 11, 2020

"It would be an extreme step, but if House Republicans continue to attack democracy, House Democrats do have the option of refusing to seat members by majority vote if that is what it would take to save the country."

Democracies a weakened by moronic infighting of pathetic partisan Hatfields and McCoys.

What does that even mean? I've never heard of a case dismissed because of "procedure."

    "Theory"

Like @Arkanis said, "the case has been overwhelmingly rejected by 50 courts and the Supreme Court twice". But you don't seem to care. Do you really think 50 cases in which Trump's own lawyers said they had NO EVIDENCE and were THROWN OUT BY 50 JUDGES and the SCOTUS TWICE is a "theory"? Really?

Perhaps, if any of that ever happens. What we have instead is a coup attempt by a wannabe dictator, and millions who support such a dictatorship. Now THAT is a threat to democracy.

Incorrect. Judges threw the suits out for lack of evidence.

The "procedural flaw" was that Trump's attorneys brought no evidence to the hearings BECAUSE THERE WAS NONE!!!!! LOL!!!!

Of the 50 judges who dismissed the cases, 17 were appointed by Trump.

They all came to the same conclusion.

Same thing at the Supreme Court.

    Strange isn't it?

They brought lots of claims to the press. Are congress critters immune from defamation charges? We know Giuliani and his blonde bimbo, among others, are about to be hit by Dominion. Will these traitors in Congress defame Dominion next Wednesday?

Huh? Senators exercising their constitutional rights is a coup attempt but a 3 year long/$50 million political partisan witch hunt and fishing expedition with the explicit goal of overturning 2016 election and a totally bogus politicized impeachment conducted by Dems in the middle of a pandemic never happened?

LOL only in liberal bubble my friend this nonsense is not laughed at, only in liberal bubble.
