To find an open cesspool one only needs to follow ones nose. Guess Apple Maps and Google don't know the people who were planning to go today already knew how they were going to get there. Pitiful, but par for the course.

It's utterly amazing how gullible they are. And how is it none of them can think for themselves and question it like we did? They just believe whatever is fed to them without doing any research themselves.

I just brought up google maps and I picked the FBI Headquarters off Pennsylvania Ave as a destination and I get a route. Around the core area I get lots of warnings of road closures if you choose the driving option but it still gives you a route. If you choose walking, bicycling, rapid transit it gives you unobstructed routes.

I did not try Apple maps since I don't like to support Apple products.

Is this just a sneaky way to get people to post their place of origin?

“Washington DC” comes up strange, but “District of Columbia” works just fine. Apple Maps is known for being screwy. It once showed me that a restaurant I was going to was dead smack in the middle of the highway. What do people figure apple is trying to accomplish exactly?

I see potential! Lets say someone searches for the "Welfare office" or "unemployment office" and they get routed to the nearest job fair! Or employer advertising "help wanted"

Do you not think people should be able to apply for UI?

No. You pay into it and should have it when you need it.

It is difficult for employers to fill positions when workers make more staying home. Sometimes good intentions cause more harm than good.

I think that says more about the wages that employers are willing to pay than it does about the amount people receive for unemployment.

Me either on google maps. Took me from my front door to union station at least in theory. In reality, having lived in the area, I don't think the directions were particularly accurate unless they are already routing people away from the mall area due to inauguration prep which takes a lot longer than people realize.

Okay. The business owner sets wages based on how difficult the position is to fill. If one can be replaced quickly, the wages are low. If one is difficult to replace, they command higher pay. If the government forces higher pay, the jobs go away or the worker pays higher prices for their needs from businesses paying their employees higher wages, and is no better off.
