Well, actually the Capitol Fascist coup had Trump's Modus Operandi all over the place--literally.

Past behavior is a good predictor of future behavior.

The Trump MO is the famous "Pee Tape" scandal report which was funded by Republicans running against Trump in 2016 and found evidence of multiple sex parties where in one case Trump hired a number of prostitutes to perform a "gold showers" in front of him in the presidential suite of the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Moscow.

Former British spy Christopher Steele reportedly investigated multiple alleged sex parties involving Donald Trump that took place in Russia.

It appears that Trump hired another group of prostitutes to preform the same ceremony in the Seat of American Democracy in Washington D.C. Protesters sat in the Capitol's seat in Congress and defecated in the chair and then walked all over the Capital building.

I think the symbolism is very touching: and in fact, even poetic since it sums up the state of the American Democracy, American Christianity and the historical legacy of the Trump administration.

Republican are so much better at spreading media messages than the Dems.

So every time you see a American politician sitting in the Capitol's legislative seat just remember that Trump had someone take long hot dump in it!

You should know, after all you do claim to be well informed and all. That every time that you are complaining about Antifa, you are really complaining about folks standing up to the violent right wing gangs, like the ones who stormed the capital.

To put it all in the wider picture, as the violent right wingers were storming the nation’s capital, there were groups of similarly minded individuals attempting similar attacks in Salem Oregon and Denver Colorado. Neither building was in use at the time, nor breached.

The primary difference is that the folks at Black Lives Matter are trying to bring to light the lingering structural racism in the US and to enact change to counteract that racism.

The folks who stormed the capital did so in the mistaken belief that they were helping retain in power an individual who is not only a very inept leader, but also would rather the above mentioned lingering racism not be questioned.

 

It is, except when the violent right wing gangs, like the ones who stormed the US Capital, come to town to terrorize the citizenry.

None of the -protestors- were violent against people, only the few windows and doors necessary to get into the Capitol, otherwise they weren't violent against property either other than Pelosi's laptop allegedly

I saw a clip on the internet yesterday. I think it came from CBS. A women was crying, her face and hair still dripping from a healthy dousing in water. She was saying that all she had done was break through a window and climb into the Capital when the police maced her. She seemed confused, saying all she was doing was participating in a revolution, as if she didn’t expect a police response, as if the concepts of right and wrong didn’t quite register in her head. Maybe she was just confused, having just been maced and all.

My neighborhood was quite peaceful yesterday, as is usual. It was an unusually warm day and I spent a few hours touring my neck of the woods on my bicycle. Western Oregon has a very interesting environment. The normal growing season is longer than in most places, and during winter, there is a whole new environment that pops up. Whereas in the Midwest, grasses go dormant in the winter. Except for the root growth of some species. But in western Oregon, many grasses thrive in winter, giving what would otherwise be gray and brown, a nice green hue to the landscape. This is in addition to the mosses and lichens that grow in great abundance throughout the winter, giving the forests an eerie bright green glow as the morning sun rises, shining its splintered rays through the morning dew.

Even though Oregon, and especially Portland have rather strict lockdown rules. After all only Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and Vermont have a lower rate of Covid 19 infections. Walking about one’s neighborhood is still allowed, even encouraged. There is a reason that people who live in liberal oases tend to live longer healthier lives. I saw plenty of heathy, friendly people about.

Maybe the right wing media is a little behind the times, being backwards and all, but much of the violent right wing activity has moved down to Salem, the seat of political power in Oregon.

 

So, it no longer all over the west coast like previously?

One notable distinction: The Democrats protected and condoned BLM rioters, and vilified Trump protestors.

 

Hence their signature mantra: "What do we want? Dead cops! When do we want 'em? Now!

 

That single fact negates any claim that they were "peaceful protests". They were inciting violence.
