Oh, the truth is that Trump's enemies have been fighting him like mad dogs from the moment he was declared the victor in the 2016 election. They, "the Swamp creatures" have savaged him with an engineered "Russia collusion" hoax, an impeachment rooted in two articles that didn't even list a crime, and charges that he was incompetent in handling the virus when he had, in fact, marshalled the fastest and most robust development of vaccines using all available resources in ways that no one could have even imagined possible a year ago.

That said, YES, Trump has often lived too long in his own little 'dream world' of soaring stock markets and personal charisma, expressed in Twitter, thinking that merely 'being strong' was enough to defeat the "Swamp" creatures. But, he was wrong. The Swamp won -- and in the final analysis, he made it way too EASY for them to do so....

For various communities; Twitter works as a way to stay in touch with current community events. My husband is on Twitter, only for hurricane community nerd talk. He has his 1,500 followers, and he follows them, and they chat about storms, and not much else. It's just a bunch of nerds helping people understand what any particular tropical cyclone is doing.

For politics, it's absolute trash.

Hardly. According to polling, half of Republicans believe Biden won because the election was rigged (see this). It is Trump who originated this falsehood. He also pushed the falsehood that the election results could be overturned on Jan 6 - and clearly, there were a lot of people who believed it. As I'm sure you know, Trump spread the falsehood that Pence could do it - and some people believed that. When Pence failed to come through (since he couldn't), the crowd that invaded the Capitol changed,"hang Mike Pence". See this video.

I am pretty confident Trump believes he won, and that entails a conspiracy theory. It isn't surprising that Trump would think this way, since he buys into other conspiracy theories. Perhaps many of those credulous Republicans were just taking Trump's word for it, and didn't understand that it's based on a conspiracy theory Still, some of them clearly ARE "rabid conspiracy theorists". Browse this guy's Facebook page. There's a video on that page, in which the man says he's heard that there's a video of Mike Pence raping a boy, and then shooting the boy ("I don't know if it's true", he says. He mentions it because some other trusted conspiracy nut made the claim).

 

I think you should go back to the Democrat Underground where your hateful, insulting and ignorant posts would be cheered on by like minded people.

I imagine any court cases Trump is involved with will receive very high ratings. Trump is going to remain very much in the news but in future anything he says will face charges of perjury if he strays from facts unlike his Twitter feed which until very recently was free to lie without recourse to legal censure.
