Not a t all. She is doing what has to be done.......Holding Trump accountable. For a"law and order POTUS" he has failed by inciting thee violence on the Capitol. That cannot go unpunished.

As stated before: the GOP has a lot to account for too.

Unfortunately, the logistics of the actual impeachment trial may make it difficult to quickly implement that part of the impeachment-process. But we can and should expedite the impeachment itself (the House issuing the indictment). Getting that done without delay will ensure that Trump doesn't escape accountability altogether.

I would say the trial could be expedited as well (especially given that it would not be a formal legal proceeding). But if not, we can wait a little while. Republican Senators will not be able to avoid being forced to commit to oppose the tyrant, or ally themselves with him.

In the end I think the focus should be more on justice than on "healing." Trump and his supporters are on the wrong side of history, and we should be acting now, in that knowledge.

If Trump isn't legally barred from running he will run again as a Republican or an independent. Donations from the faithful is probably his only income source. Maybe he should become an evangelical preacher and open a mega church. I think it would be a perfect fit. He wouldn't even have to compromise any of his religious beliefs.

I'd say Pence is bluffing, trying to stall impeachment from going forward. Why, I can't imagine. He is the nation's #1 Quisling and all he has gotten for selling his soul to the American Authoritarians, was them coming to put his head on a pike last Wednesday. But in the end I figure that he is too committed to anti-Americanism, for him to see any benefit in any kind of redemptive act.

Fake News. Trump didn't incite riots and the GOP immediately denounced the rioters and inisted they be held accountable.

If Granny Boxwine wants to shut down the Congress in order to pursue another failed vendetta against Trump, rather than launch Beijing Joe's agenda, that's fine with me.

Take all the time you want!

Were it not for double stands, why, the left would have no standards at all!

RIOTS FOR THEE, BUT NOT FOR ME: WA Governor who refused National Guard for Seattle’s ‘autonomous zone’ calls up Guard to protect Governor’s Mansion.

Secret Service for ex-Presidents is not because you like the President, it is to prevent assassinations and kidnappings of people with national secrets.

Kinda frightening to think about this mad man knowing all the inner workings and secrets .......He is a loose cannon at best.

We also know he goes to the highest bidder .....being very money oriented. Let's not forget who he considers his "friends" : Putin, and other less favorable leaders..........of opposing nations. hmmm.

Yep. I would bet they (the other leaders) are already developing a new method by which information is provided to a sitting POTUS. I don't recall any time in recent history that we, the people, were on pins and needles hoping our own POTUS didn't sell us out to the highest bidder or just continue to "burn down the house".

I think everyone here can reliably take anything you say after your "Fake News" boilerplate, to be a Lie.

Pelosi will impeach now, but hold off sending the Articles of Impeachment to the senate for a few months. The Biden admin needs time to settle in. McConnell would turf it again if it was sent to the senate now. And that gives enough time to dig up all the evidence to present for the senate trial.

Why impeach a guy leaving office? To hold Trump accountable. To make a full presentation of what happened to the public. And to prevent Trump from ever holding pubilc office again.

And, hopefully, deter any future wanna-be-dictators from trying such nonsense.

The House plans to vote this week to impeach President Trump over the riot at the U.S. Capitol, a top Democrat said on Sunday, as lawmakers of both parties condemned the president’s rhetoric and called on him to resign..

I think the House of Representatives are out to impeach Trump and they're voting on it this week. You should know that if Trump is Impeached and find him guilty, He's barred from Public Office forever and they mean it.

House can easily impeach the jerk. Getting two thirds of the Senate to convict is not so easy in fact unlikely.

You description: "being on pins and needles" is spot on. I find myself turning on the TV the moment I get up......to see what new disaster has befallen . Or what has the mad man done now. It is amazing to find relief from not hearing about his crazy tweets. .He is such a negative force .....I think a lot more of his shenanigans will be revealed after he is out of office.

I'm certain it's a sentiment shared by many. I find myself longing for the day when the POTUS isn't the top news story. I know Biden will be in the news especially in his first 100 days, but I am envisioning a world in which I am not hesitant to click a link when I see our POTUS' name.

Don't worry. We're almost there. Ten more days and "Sleepy Joe" can bore us with his non-drama filled Administration.

I am sure that after being spurned by the American voters any sense of loyalty that may have been hiding in this dark soul is now being over-ridden by his need for revenge for canceling his never ending golf vacation.

House to vote on invoking 25th Amendment, Pelosi says, with impeachment next move

How ever far this goes........ it is still important to go through this process. We just cannot let it slide again......... as then it will reflect on "we the people too. The GOP has lost its way......and cannot be relied on to do the right thing. Their middle name ifs POWER now........ and have lost credibility. There are boundaries as to what a POTUS can do............ Accountability is imperative in a democracy.............. otherwise We are a lawless society.

If they're going to impeach Trump, They better do it soon. A censure could be more likely.

The House should impeach in the next few days, the Senate will not have time for a trial. That's ok. We don't need one.
    the indictment stands.
