Pondered. There are people who think OJ didn't do it. They're forgotten. So will be Trump followers.

Anyone who follows Trump is as far away from conservative as can be. Conservatives are constitutionalists. Trump has never read the document.

It's a dead end, but also a free country. I'm sure you'll do plenty of complaining as the world passes you and Trump by. Have fun!

Please point your question in another direction, because it is LOADED. I never supported any illegal activity. But, knowing that these large, protest crowds are not necessarily uniform, nor do I believe in CANCELLING the right to protest of many, law-abiding citizens, over the acts of a small minority of their numbers.

Back in 1999, I attended a protest against our democracy-over riding participation in the WTO (World Trade Organization)-- perhaps there is even some sympathy between us, on this sort of issue. Everyone who I was aware of being part of the actual protest (we'd had a planning session the night before) was completely peaceful. But, as evening fell, I started seeing a number of these young people showing up, wearing bandanas over their faces, like masks (which no one else was wearing; we were actually expecting, potentially, to be dragged away by police). I later found that it was these anarchists who soon began throwing bricks through store windows, etc., thereby giving the police, with whom we'd maintained a detente, throughout the day, the excuse to come hard after EVERYONE in the protest. If I'm ever at another protest & see one of these vermin destroying private, or public, property, I will tackle the SOB, and make a citizen's arrest!

It is, I'll note, extremely hypocritical that some of those who, like yourself, were willing to characterize the entire BLM protests as Antifa or anarchist-- against the overwhelming evidence that these were only a quite small number of parasites, using the protests for their own ends-- are now trying to ludicrously pin the blame on, "just a few anarchists," for the actions of (we know, from the footage) SO MANY, involved with storming our nation's Capitol building.

The REAL question, then, is whether or not YOU judge by a consistent yardstick, or with a sliding rule. As for the answer, I will not presume, but will have the courtesy to allow you to answer that, for yourself.

You do have a point. Point taken.

I mean in 44 BC, some guys with knives stabbed Julius.Caesar.

Just think of the Conservative outrage if Liberals did that today?

Anyway, back on topic, to these possible (seemingly credible) threats.

The FBI, and others, need to be working overtime to prevent something like that.

Once again, I am calling for a Virtual Iauguration (amidst a Lockdown of DC).

At one point in this country the purpose of higher education was not to train people for a job. Rather it was to train people how to think. And since it was the upper classes, being educated, they were also taught how to govern.

The way these people were taught to think, in part was by learning about Roman and Greek civilization. This knowledge is quite relevant today. History prior to Karl Marx matters.

A virtual inauguration is a good cover for why no one would show up to cheer Biden.

Right, only a small number of parasites among mostly peaceful demonstrators who rioted, burned, looted all through the Democratic summer of love throughout the country. :roflol:

I personally hand not yet ventured forth an opinion on Wednesday events but it is not rocket science. A mostly peaceful support demonstration got out of hand.

    There.

In 25 years - when the mass majority of Americans think of Trump, it will be the election nonsense/coup attempt/riot that comes to mind first

Just like Nixon-Watergate; Clinton - Monica

    Sorry

That is an awfully big assumption that America will exist in 25 years. The divisions are getting larger every year. Breakup seems inevitable. Hopefully peaceful.

    Who are THEY?

    The "75 Million"?

    Trump ONLY got 74,222,958 Votes.

Since when did roughly 74.2 Million become 75 Million?

Where did the other 777, 042 Come from?

    Is that the New Math?

Then again, when discussing Trump.there seems to be a pattern of pulling numbers out of thin air.

These are the same people who refer to the 22.5% of America who voted for Trump as "Half the Nation".

    75 Million? :roflol:

And, back to the OP, the authorities need to tamp down this potential violence.

    and out of the 74+M

A % were turned off by the election fraud nonsense
Another (larger) % was turned off by the coup attempt that led to a riot

So - he will always have his core base, but potentially losing 10-20% from moderates/independents would be crippling to a future run either directly or indirectly

Trump would have ZERO Chance of ever being elected again.

The GOP would be committing political suicide by nominating him in 2024, and they know that.

Hawley and Cruz have ZERO chance of ever getting the GOP Nomination.

I could see a 2024 Ticket of (hypothetically) something like Kasich/Haley.

The GOP needs to find a Moderate Lane to rid themselves of the Historic STAIN of "Trumpism"..

He doesn't have 75m supporters. 30-40m of his votes were fraudulent.

AM Radio News reports I’ve heard stated that those organizations cited above (Antifa & BLM) did not attend the riot.

    So? Its still a plague.

Besides, that's a stupid use anyway. Obama literally did EVERYTHING better than Trump, so there really is no reason to compare a world class statesmen to a jumped up thug who is propped up by ignorant useful idiots.

Firstly, since January 6 Trump has had far fewer than 75 million supporters.

You can easily remove 15 million of them.

Secondly, you are part of the minority of voters and always have been.

With Trump, the extremist fringe of the GOP has taken control and the vast majority of Americans don't want anything more to do with you.

Obama certainly wore better suits. I mean, you just look at America's first mainstream, clean-shaven, articulate, affirmative action President, and you get a thrill running up your leg! :applause:
