It is lawful, of course, for protests to be motivated even by bogus and fraudulent claims of "rigged elections" - but physical intimidation of lawmakers (whether or not they are "globalists"), on the strength of such fraudulent claims, is never acceptable. It is never acceptable, on the basis of such claims, to intimidate lawmakers into diverging from the Constitution (whether for a ten-day, ten-hour, or ten-minute span of time) and "extend investigations" into the legitimacy of the election - not when the election had already been so thoroughly litigated, not when the paranoiacs making bogus claims of a "rigged election" will never accept any finding for the legitimacy of the election.

The establishment deserves the total victory it has won. The establishment are the believers in capital-L Liberal democracy, and we have - for the moment - met the challenge of rising Authoritarianism and Fascism in America today, in the form of the Demagogue and his streetbrawler thugs.

That’s a really bad question. “These actions” could refer to protesting the election results without storming the Capitol. There is a lot of background information before asking “do you support this”. People could agree with some of it and still answer yes even though they disagreed with other parts.

Um, no. By putting the 'storming' bit right at the start the question clearly defines its own parameters. That is what it is about. No ambiguity.

For you. I can see that some people would interpret the question differently.
    It’s a vague question.

No one is saying that. Well, beside you — now.

I personally am just so glad that the maga hats have finally discovered what nuance is! For months they have ignored protests that were mostly peaceful in attempts to paint them all as rioters. It is sad that the lens must be focused on their own members before they can shake the cognitive dissonance but hey, baby steps.

I'm sure they do. I am talking about the tradition of political thought which dates to John Locke, which holds for the natural equal dignity of all, and in the possession of all of certain inalienable natural rights, and of government under law (and ever subject to renewed constitution by the People). Liberalism holds explicitly for an ethos of individualism and negative liberty, but it has respect enough for our essential primate social nature, that it realizes the vital role of the State in human civilization. In contrast to this, you Anarchists take the State completely for granted, thinking that the order (and bounty) it provides is simply the product of normal human interaction without any institutional interference. This belief is as destructive as it is naive.

Peaceful protest? There is a fair amount of video of this event; how much of it have you seen?

Thanks for the dose of reality. It's hard to envision, at this point, how things are going to all work out, fine. But it's not without good reason that they call patience, a virtue.
