SNIP The House will vote today to impeach President Trump a second time. Democrats are charging him with "incitement of insurrection" for his role in last week’s deadly Capitol attack. Once the House passes the rule, the House will proceed to a two-hour debate on the impeachment resolution. The final vote will begin between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. ET. ENDSNIP https://www.cnn.com/politics/live-news/house-trump-impeachment-vote-01-13-21/index.html In process now.... House is voting on the impeachment rules now, setting up the final vote this afternoon... They had some debate from the Rules Committee this AM and neither side used their full time.... Might be a little more contentious this afternoon... Can't wait to see who steps up to defend non impeachment here... Somebody is going to be "Hawley-ed" later today... Also, as it's Congress, expect that final vote much later than 4pm.... All the major networks should be covering this Chuck Todd is currently going over 20 R's voting to impeach.... Anybody want to challenge that number?
Voting still going on for the 'rules'.... what an annoying process that must be for people coming new to Congress hoping to get stuff done... Just wanted to point out 'Camp Auschwitz" Guy was arrested today.... Lucky for him we don't actually have those in the USA, and we won't after the last election...
People ended up dead that day.... which makes the word deadly perfectly appropriate... Funny, earlier in another thread, I posted Hoyer said the Article was going to be moved to the Senate immediately, but now it's being reported Nancy isn't committed to that... Sounds like there might be some disagreement there... What would you prefer? Immediate or wait? It's a binary choice....
"incitement to insurrection" is a joke, just like elected democrats are. He did no such thing. But entertain us and cite an exact quote to demonstrate it.
Immediate. I realize that Pelosi would like to milk this for all it is worth, but I'd say don't play politics, make it quick.
Ditto... Milking it would be moving on it, not delaying it... there's no "milking" to be done from the news Trump is impeached (again). Made much more sense to milk for the original impeachment.... Whatever the official procedure, you get that sucker to McConnell ASAP, while he might be in the mood to move on it...
And all the screaming and and BS over Benghazi?.....Stop all the fake BS! Sure hope there is 11 investigations minimum!
20? I'd guess lower than that, but I guess we'll see. The Republicans aren't whipping the vote. The 25th amendment resolution wasn't whipped either, and it got just one Republican vote. And yet, if we talked about the "deadly BLM riots last year", leftists would push back on that ferociously, demonstrating the double-standard that is clearly at play.
There were hundreds of protests last summer, where several turned into deadly riots. 25 people dead by this reference... very tragic....none instigated by the POTUS.... https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/oct/31/americans-killed-protests-political-unrest-acled Trump is batting 1.000 - 1 protest -> 1 riot -> no purpose -> multiple deaths...
In case you are confused, here is what a real call to violence looks like, once again coming from the left.
Where is the outrage from Congress on the death's of these innocent people by rioters from late May to early June? David Dorn David McAtee Chris Beaty Dorian Murrell Italia Kelly Marquis Tousant Patrick Underwood Calvin Horton Jr. James Scurlock Javar Harrell Barry Perkins III Jorge Gomez Jose Gutierrez Victor Cazares Jr. Marvin Francois And that is only about half of those who were killed! Plus, hundreds of injured civilians and police officers and billions of dollars in damages!
Another nonsense irrational impeach. Another badge of honor at this point. Dem leaders support rioting for years then accuse Trump of doing it and impeach lol. Oh well, he will remain in office regardless till his time is up. Dem leaders just destroying the country with more division. Not shocking tbh.
What do you mean "Trump is batting 1.000 - 1 protest"? President Trump has held at least dozens, and probably hundreds of rallies.
also known as purposeful superspreaders of covid death by those who only care that it's just another darn Dem hoax
300K unnecessary deaths due to traitor trump's guilt by desire, negligence, and malfeasance 100% and that's his good side
He could have said: Strom the capitol and hang Mike Pence, and you would claim he was just joking. I am wondering: How much of an offense would Trump have to commit for the true believers to eventually support the impeachment effort? Which bridge exactly would be too far?
Funny how in order to defend Trump Republicans have to talk about 6 months ago and longer lol... the party of whataboutism
Really? Couldn't be easier... “Something is wrong here, something is really wrong, can’t have happened and we fight, we fight like hell, and if you don’t fight like hell, you’re not going to have a country anymore.” “So we are going to–we are going to walk down Pennsylvania Avenue, I love Pennsylvania Avenue, and we are going to the Capitol...." Here's a bunch of other incidents of impeachable un-presidential behavior - The Incitement Timeline https://www.justsecurity.org/74138/...actions-leading-to-the-attack-on-the-capitol/ The 1/6 speech was just the OK to move.... he spent months prepping the idiots for the day....
