That was wrong, of course, because he didn't actually kill any black people. You were wrong about how far Kyle traveled. You were wrong about the race of the criminals that attacked Kyle. You were wrong about who instigated the violence. I can't think of anything you've been right about in this thread.

False, Kyle didn't attack / assault anyone. All three of the criminals attacked Kyle.

I wouldn't say I'm staking my flag here. I'm merely noticing, based on this thread and others, that the hostility to Rittenhouse is irrational and strictly partisan. We have video of almost the entire exchange, and it's hard for me to look at that and not see it as pretty obviously self defense.

The other issue is the ridiculous racist/OK thing. Even though everyone acknowledges that this was started online as a troll, the left seems to have moved on from that and actually take seriously the idea that the OK sign is a sign of white supremacy. I can't possibly take such a ridiculous position seriously. I almost can't believe that I have to entertain that as a legitimate argument on whether someone's racist or not.

Sorry, but on a forum full of dumb arguments, that OK nonsense seems to move this discussion into the top 1% of stupidity.

 

Last year there was a thread on PF showing an African American militia group marching around with guns. At one point a couple of members had a verbal disagreement with a white motorists. A number of our conservative posters got quite worked up - much more so than when 'Kyle' murdered several people.

Can you imagine the hysteria that would be unleashed if groups of armed black men turned up at every Trumper protest 'to protect democracy' or somesuch. Heads would explode. As I have said numerous times, there is a whole swathe of American society that insists that any white person with a gun be presumed a 'citizen' and any oyung black male be presumed a 'thug'. The consistency of the approach is remarkable.

He was radicalized by the Blue Lives Matter Movement. Most likely this was due to his time in the police cadet programs. All that time there was probably what radicalized him. And we know the effect of this by seeing him posing with AR-15s with the caption "Blue Lives Matter". The question is then was he radicalized enough to become mobilized to join the impromptu militia group he did join. That isn't as clear yet, but I can safely say that he was radicalized.

 

I notice a paucity of facts here. Are you claiming "Blue Lives Matter" is a radical group? You've still not told me in what way he's a radical. What does he believe?

 

He shouldn't have been there in the first place. He didn't legally posses the gun he had, and should not have transported it across state lines. He illegally put himself in the position to shoot someone.

 

Depends on the chapter and how he believed it but yeah. You can become radicalized by pretty much any group. It's more about the shift in actions taken. For example I felt scared that Republicans are going to continue coming after my rights. So I joined the Democrats. That's 'radicalization' too. We can clearly see that joining a police program for high schoolers is very different from going to a BLM protest and shooting people.

As for what he believes I've established the effects. He joined an anti-BLM group. That's enough to establish he's right wing and he has connections that would have enabled him to become mobilized. We know he used right wing symbols in the past. Posing with a gun with political captions like 'Trump 2020'. Now we see him posing with Proud Boys, and using white supremacist symbols. I don't need to go further than that.

 

It can mean whatever crap anyone wants to make up and is accepted by a set of 2 or more people. But, others DO NOT get to assume their intent for the purpose of accusing them of a thought crime. This **** is too Orwellian.

That's not what happened. The video was clear. The first pedophile ******* attacked him with an incendiary and ran at him. Then a bunch of Leftist ducks, at least a dozen chased him and many attacked him with a skateboard to the head and another drew a gun on him. It was all pure self defense. The video makes this a slam dunk. He may have to get past a political court, but any honest court and the kid walks.

 

She ought to be careful -- that's actually an insult in Arabic. It references a part of the body used in the elimination of solid waste. Making this symbol to her buddy Tlaib or Omar could get her in some hot water.
