Cypress ponds are something that I would like to paint. At least give it a try.

That’s a great photo. How long would it take to paint something like that?

The Durango/Silverton RR would be spectacular in the fall. I’ve only been on it in the summer.

Me too, humans use 121 different reference points to identify someone's face. Which is why I avoid painting them, get one wrong and everyone sees it.
You have a real talent there Daisy.

Yes, similar but without the spanish moss. It would be tricky, with the reflections on the water. It would be fun to try.

I made mistakes in both of those drawings. You always hope you are the only one who notices.

This picture is like the painting I would like to do. It would be a lot easier in oils than water.

Nice sunset, but they are a pig to do. You can't make paper brighter than white. [IMG]
I don't think I've ever done one I was happy with.

It is easier to brighten with oils.

I can’t take any credit for the pictures. They are advertising photos from the RR.

Are you referencing Wyoming’s Wind River? That’s some beautiful country as well!

Probably so. I've never worked in oils. I have done a few in acrylics.
I must try oils one day.

Oils are a lot like acrylics it just takes longer for the oils to dry. Your watercolors are excellent and your oil painting will be too.
