Early in 2017, a few months after the inauguration, I drove down to San Diego from LA to attend my nephew's Marine Corps graduation ceremony. I had a free evening so I went to my favorite Mexican in San Ysidro -- on the border. Before dinner I drove out to Border Field State Park... where the border fence actually juts out into the ocean. On the way back, I pulled over to peer into Tijuana and encountered a Border Patrol agent. We exchanged pleasantries and I asked him if his job had changed since the new adminisration came in. He told me he'd been in BP for 30 years under five presidents and that this was the first time he's actually been allowed to do the job he was hired to do, almost word for word what you just reported here. I guess that's over with now... nice to have had a border for a minute.

 

Straw man, moving the goal posts. I didn't ask you if they were a danger to society. I asked you how to insure thet would show up for their court date, now three times. Furthermore, the duly-enacted immigration laws of the United States, written and passed by the congress do not reference "danger to society." And even that is a fallacy -- we don't know the state of health of people who unlawfully cross our border. What diseases do they have? Are they about to drop dead of a heart attack thus consuming precious medical resources? Are they pregnant hoping to drop an anchor baby?

Interesting. So American Indians support this amnesty policy? I've not seen them polled on this issue before so I don't know, but would find it surprising if they thought even more uninvited people were beneficial.

They were playing a game of chicken and using these kids as pawns, trying to get them jammed in these holding facilities hoping they could force them to get released into the US.

Trump said, no, no, they're not going to be released into the US, and several judges ordered that Trump could not release them back to their own countries... and meanwhile Leftist activists were trying to get more waves of migrants with children to swarm the border and overwhelm the facilities.

 

What the left never talks about is how the kids are recycled. A kid crosses with an illegal, goes back to Mexico and crosses again with another illegal. Crossing with a kid will buy some sympathy if they think the adult is the parent of the kid.

 

I agree. It was very sad to see President Obama put those frightened children in those cages... on the cold concrete floor, not even a blanket. But you have already argued that we should issue arrest warrants for illegals who skip their court dates, meaning you argued in favor of separating families.

Let's take a look at what you are trying to justify: the wholesale violation of the laws of a sovereign nation by millions foreign nationals who have no business even entering a foreign country without authorization let alone living in it. So your outrage seems a little misplaced: You should be taking it out on the illegal aliens who willfully and brazenly violate the laws of a sovereign nation thus exposing their children to untold dangers on a perilous journey -- up to and including rape. And when people break the law, there are consequences. BOTTOM LINE: Kids would never have been put in cages by President Obama had their illegal alien parents stayed home. Fortunately for the illegal alien children who were illegally brought across the border by their criminal parents after 2017, they got to stay in places like this under the Trump administration:
