Why do I get a bad feeling about this? I wonder if anyone outed relatives participating in the Antifa/BLM riots. Who will be next:

First of all, there were as a matter of fact only a handful of true riots associated with the George Lloyd protests; the "burning cities" talk is just conservative propaganda.

Second, the unrest associated with the BLM protests is rooted in a genuine, deep-seated, moral/social/political grievance. The insurrection at the Capitol building was anything but. That is a difference which makes a difference, when we talk about relatives cooperating with authorities to bring their own family members to justice.

An unjustified insurrection tends to do that.

I'll lay you money we will have some fewer chain letters from eccentric aunts in our email every Saturday at least for a little while. It would have been a whole lot better to do this in November, just before Thanksgiving. Digesting turkey is hard enough all by itself

OTOH, these sorts are annoying any time of the year and it's always fun to get rid of them for a little while. Not to be harsh but a year or so of quiet contemplation will probably do these people good, and won't hurt their relatives at all, I'm thinking

Wow it would be a sign of desperation to play the Whatabout - ism game with this .

I heard that a number of those who got turned in were not by loved ones but by ExWives. How funny. shmart women these ex wives getting rid of husbands who support fascist politicians. Shmart indeed.

I have no problem turning in any relative of mine who commits a crime.

Whether the relative was on the side of 'right' or on the side of 'wrong' would make a huge difference. The distinction between the two seems to be difficult for a lot of our conservative friends to comprehend.

A dozen people killed and a couple of billion dollars in damage in the Floyd riots. No big deal right?

Not at all. Congress recovered from the riots in a couple of hours. They still haven't recovered from the Floyd riots.

Edit. Oh yeah, I omitted one other major difference. In the Capitol they beefed up law enforcement and security like they should have. In the Floyd case, they reduced law enforcement and security.

Edit 2. One other major difference. They impeached a president over the Capitol riots, but failed to punish anyone over the Floyd riots.

Edit 3. One other major difference, they punished a large number of rioters in the Capitol riots but hardly punished anyone in Floyd riots.

Yes, it is a sad commentary on the corruption of US society, but we can keep this in perspective by remembering that 30 or 40 years ago Americans had been convinced to turn in brothers, sisters and parents for violation of the drug laws.

That means we are several generations in of having children betray their parents to the authorities for transgressions of government laws.

Nothing new under the sun. Encouraging citizens to play the role of Judas is what the government is all about. Destruction of the social fabric is what the government is all about.

:) My favorite is the ex-wife who turned in her ex :) :)

Yup, if one doesn't report a criminal isn't that aiding and abetting...??

How would you describe those in Congress who did not insist upon Clapper and Brennan being prosecuted for their public perjury before Congress? Would those folks be aiding and abetting the perjury? Cripes, that would be all of Congress aiding and abetting. Wait, it turns out that is common behavior in that Gangster's Paradise.

Thank God for James Comey prosecuting and sending Martha Stewart to prison for her transgressions.

Yup, and while the single Capitol riot is rightly condemned across the board by the media, they bent over backwards to justify the multitude of blm riots nationwide. Left wing groups were actually bailing out those arrested who then went straight back to the riots to riot more. The Democrat hypocrisy has reached the level of obscene.

"Federal law enforcement is investigating whether one woman charged in the attack on the Capitol earlier this month intended to sell a laptop from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) office to Russia. The woman reportedly remains at large.

The detail about the computer from Pelosi’s office was noted in an FBI agent’s statement of facts in support of the criminal complaint against Riley June Williams. The charges were filed in federal court on Sunday.

The laptop claim came from an unidentified former romantic partner of Williams’, who is referred to as W1 in the court document and who allegedly called the FBI tip line after the attack."

Hopefully, there were no foreign agents among the rioters.

I'm sure it's easy for family members to turn in the whack job that infuriates everyone else with their political talk at family gatherings. But I wonder what they would do for family members if they agreed with their political stance...

Totally unnecessary. Anyone carrying a cell phone, which means all of the ANTIFA terrorists and many Trump rally attendees has told the FBI where they were. Those who were inside the Capitol, are being paid visits. Selfies and ratting out by relatives only adds to the GPS evidence.
