In Keeping With The Title of This section, I am actually Posting an Opinion Thread (in the Opinion section).

It is My Opinion and Belief That Things (Right Now) would have been Exponentially Different, IF Trump had only possessed the Grace and Dignity (Expected of the Office).

Just Imagine How Different Things Would've Been If Trump Accepted His Defeat With Grace and Dignity

***The Deadly Capitol Riot (Caused by the Trump-Inspired Domestic Terrorists, that cost 5 American Lives) Would have Never Happened.

***You wouldn't need 25,000 Troops to Protect Biden From Domestic Terrorists.

***Rudy Giuliani (Well-Respected after 9/11) has become a Pathetic Caricature (Who has Lost ALL Respect).

***There could have actually been a Classy and Respectful Transfer of Power (Which Trump's Blatant Conspiratorial Imbecility Prevented).

***Had Trump wanted to Run again in 2024, had he handled his Landslide Defeat with Grace and Class--That would had given him a good chance (had he chose to Run).
NOW--He has Zero Chance of being the 2024 Nominee and his name has become Poison to the GOP's Election Chances

***The Senate would have probably stayed in GOP Hands.
EXCEPT--Trump's Conspiratorial IDIOCY single-handedly cost the Dems BOTH GA Senate seats.

***People such as Cruz and Hawley who could have been First-Tier Candidates in 2024, have now committed (effective) career suicide by throwing in with Trump's MORONIC Conspiracies.

    Once again:

Just Imagine How Different Things Would've Been If Trump Accepted His Defeat With Grace and Dignity.

That is why early in Trump's term I always repeated, character is destiny, and Trump's character was always questionable and hence what occurred was predictable.

I see little value left in attending discussions with any of those here that still support him.

It is indeed turning into a futile attempt. They want to continue believing the lies. Their relevancy will begin to diminish in time.

    Absolutely.

Everybody saw this coming (ever since Trump came down the Escalator).

Everybody KNEW that a Trump Presidency would Not End Well.

That is why Trump's Election Was (Undeniably) the Biggest Mistake in Electoral History.
^A FACT That is Universally Accepted (and Inarguable).

    You are correct, Lucifer:

    what occurred was predictable

And, Everybody KNEW this would happen.

My recent thoughts are that I might still engage in exchange with those that drank the Kool-Aid but there's a half dozen or so that didn't drink the Kool-Aid, they've got it running thru their veins and I have to consider them hopeless. Your suggestion is well taken.

Yep, another incriminating detail about him that was "whitewashed".

The thing is, now that we know how he did it (repeating lies often till it appears as fact), how do we drive the level of discernment higher to avoid another candidate like this? Or do we have to accept there will always be folks so easily swayed by lies that are demonstrably falsifiable?

People who spent 8 years hammering on Obama, got a feel of what it was like to be on the "Winning Side" for 4 years.

Even if the "Winner" was a Mistakenly-Elected Imbecile (Trump).

After tomorrow, they will have to once again go back into "Opposition Mode" (most likely for the foreseeable future).

Based on demographics, the USA may never see another Republican Elected President.

Of course everybody knew this would happen. That is why reporters repeatedly asked him, throughout his presidency, if he would agree to a peaceful and orderly transfer of power if he lost. A question he never quite answered, time after time.

The Election was stolen via massive electoral and voter fraud. Why would anyone accept that with "grace and dignity?" I can assure you the ~80 million voters who reasonably believe that their votes don't count any more and the government in Washington is now illegitimate to the point of requiring massive military presence to install will not accept it.

For any sincere, organic posters or lurkers interested, details of the election fraud are contained in volumes 1-3 of the Navarro Report widely available on the net:
Vol 1 Immaculate Deception, Vol 2 Art of the Steal, Vol 3 Yes President Trump Won.

And to preempt inorganic, parroted lie narratives, no, courts have not invalidated any or any significant amount of the evidence. Few of the numerous court cases were ever heard on the merits. In LW bizarro world, believing that evidence itself can be invalidated by the legal wrangling of preliminary motion practice would lead to a world where cigarettes could still be advertised as good for you.

If your concern is that your words be read, there are much better platforms. There are platforms where your writings can be read by many thousands, if not millions. Where likes can reach tens of thousands or more.

    IMAGINE...

    1. if msm and dems wouldn’t have spread misinformation about russia collusion and we wouldn’t have spent 2 years on a sham investigation, proven to have been a sham
    2. Imagine, if dems and their leader, clinton would’ve graciously accepted the results in 2016 instead of claiming trump was illegitimate due to russia ‘interference’
    3. Imagine is msm hadn’t incited all those riots baed on lies about police brutality and dems condemned all the violence
    4. Imagine if dems would’ve governed instead of vowing to impeach the president even before he took office. Imagine if they wouldn’t have impeached based on a harmless phone call where even ukraine claimed allegations were false
    5. Imagine if dems would’ve stood alongside the president in combating covid instead of blaming him for their own failures, like cuomo leading country with number of deaths, newsom leading in number of cases and dems demanding more lockdowns, which had decimated economy (their ultimate goal) in just 2 months.

Just imagine what a great 4 years it would’ve been

I feel the same way about a member who regularly posts abortion threads. There is no discussion value as both sides are firmly entrenched - minds already made up (including mine). But time and again, they manage to draw folks in. What's the point?

Completely agree. I'm guessing you wrote that because of their belief in an alternate reality and a steadfast refusal to change their views in the face of unequivocal factual refutation.

His lack of grace and dignity in defeat is in keeping with how he conducted himself over the past 4 years (or more, if you include his run). In 2016, he recognized that tweeting wasn't 'presidential, so he would no longer do it as president. That didn't last long. In fact, I don't think he ever considered 'what is presidential behavior'. It just didn't matter to him. And that only endeared him to his followers all the more. The less like the establishment he could get, the better. There didn't seem to be any indication of 'going too far'. So now, we have him leaving in true Trump fashion. Dasvidaniya.

As I learn more about his pre-run days, I would argue that he's been consistent for decades - loud, bullying and self-centered. Nevertheless, a small (teeny, tiny) part of me was hoping he'd man up and help make a smooth transition and show a "united" front in the transfer of power if for no other reason than our elections are on the world stage.

Perfect example of........."I see little value left in attending discussions with any of those here that still support him." Not just because of their support. Because their support is predicated on a massive pile of lies.

    :roflol:

    Paging Bigfoot.:bored:

    "80 million voters"?

    WHAT "80 million voters"?

Trump ONLY Received 74.2 Million Votes.

So, even IF everyone who voted for Trump actually believed in Trump's Imbecilic, Ludicrous, "It was Stolen" Fantasy (A Ridiculous Assumption in itself, since many people who voted for Trump ARE Willing to accept the Results of a Free and Fair Election)--Where are you getting "80 Million" from?

    Is that the New Math?:bored:

    Bigfoot Exists...
    The Election was"Stolen"...
    The Earth is Flat...

    ^3 Statements of Equivalent TRUTH

    "80 Million"?:roflol:

Trump is the Biggest DISGRACE in the History of The Presidency.
    Tomorrow can't come soon enough.:flagus:

You know, when you are right you are right, when destroyed and switched Trump ballots are included, it's probably closer to 100 million. Thanks for pointing that out.
