Well he does for lots of different reasons, but that just goes to my point. He didn't acknowledge Biden won, so it's not clear if there will be a smooth transfer of power. This increases the likelihood of violence breaking out because normal channels for politics are useless.

 

1st you need a link, 2nd, you already forgot about 1/6/21 and all junk about a stolen election. That was the farthest from peaceful.

 

Do the summer riots ring a bell? The Berkley Riot in 2017? The 2016 riots? The riots in missouri years back? The Brandon Webber riot in 2019? The 2011 Wisconsin capitol riots and storming? The 2006 Dallas protest that resulted in 6 dead cops? The Brett Kavanaugh protests? I could name more...Those were all from the left or Democrats.

Hypocrisy in this thread is crazy. The left gets a free pass by most of the people complaining about the Capitol riot.

We had riots and protests in 2016 when Trump won because the Democrats were sore losers.

Republicans won't be like that. We are more civil for the most part. The Capitol riot is not going to happen again and those people are the minority.

 

I don't like or care for McConnell and most people here will say the same thing.

 

Because it is. The idea is that the US can recover from rioting. It's just buildings damaged. But the institutions in place have to hold. For example, the police didn't go on strike during the rioting. But on 1/6 the police were ineffective despite pleas for help. The institution didn't hold and almost didn't protect Congress. That's why 1/6 is so bad. Congress as an institution wasn't properly protected.

Where were you when the thousands, thousands, of officers were suffering serious injury at the hands of BLM and ANTIFA? Leftists saw ONE DAY of what their own kind do a literal regular basis and they went into a full blown McCarty era purge mode and impeached a President who told people to be peaceful. "Whatever". You should be thankful the right isn't organizing on the same level as the left had the last 4 years. You should, down on bent knee thankful that their side's extremists don't number even 1% of your side's extremists.
