Rudy has already made a statement that he didn't need a pardon because he has done nothing wrong.

This list is a perfect example of why I advocate for legalization of all drugs - so many people doing serious prison time for non-violent offenses!
I’m glad Trump could release at least this many people.

Are they innocent people? If so then a pardon is the right thing to do. I have not seen the list yet.

    They were all convicted.
But absolute majority of what I’ve seen on the list were doing long prison sentences for non-violent drug offenses.

The List IS IN the OP.

Do you mean to say that you didn't read the OP before commenting?

Once again, The List is in the OP.

    You're Welcome.:salute:

Sadly, the names on that list involve a lot of Cronyism.

For once (or is it twice) I totally agree with you. The pardons IMHO were very disappointing. Particularly the pardon of a rapper who made a video defaming Trump supports. A pardon of Snowden, Assange, or even Lenard Peltier would have shown some real character.

I am not keen on pardons as they exist in the USA. Sure, I'd want to see any innocent person who had been convicted pardoned, but only in extremely limited circumstances, including the existence of absolute proof of complete irrefutable innocence.

These last day pardons have been the norm for some time now, so to me it isn't much of an issue. I understand why some people might be upset, but even so, it seems standard op proc.

Obama pardoned people before he left office. Nobody seemed to care when he did it.

    Double standard.

Usually these are guilty people. By the time they get to the presidential pardon, they have exhausted their entire appeal process, or they have the money to pay for the pardon ;)

    So what?

The people that you refer to are Chelsea Manning and an 85-Year-Old man (Oscar Lopez-Rivera) who served over 35 Years in Prison.

During Lopez-Rivera's trial in Chicago he was characterized as a leader, recruiter, trainer and bomb maker for the FALN. However, he was never charged with any specific FALN-linked attacks that injured anyone.
Lopez-Rivera's legion of backers included Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Former President Jimmy Carter, ex-candidate Senator Bernie Sanders and the star creator of the smash musical "Hamilton," Lin-Manuel Miranda who personally lobbied President Obama on the case.
When Lopez-Rivera gets out of prison, if he comes to the "Hamilton" production in Chicago, Miranda said he will retake the lead role for that night, in his honor.
Miranda's parents were both from Puerto Rico.

Another Epic FAIL for a "Lookie Here, Twitter" talking point.:bored:

That is a typical trick of politicians who do not want to acknowledge that something is true. If I said that the Declaration of Independence was signed by representatives of all the 13 C colonies you say "I did not see the Declaration of Indepence being signed so I cannot agree it is true".

Not sure exactly what your point is. I think for myself and don't march in lockstep with other people, e.g., "Trump Supporters."

Maybe you should educate yourself and watch Oliver Stone's movie "Snowden" before making an absurd comparison of him with Hillary Clinton. Snowden was a whistleblower and hero to some. Clinton was simply someone who violate her classified non-disclosure agreement out of laziness and carelessness.

Obama didn’t pardon a bunch of crooked politicians or people who ripped off his supporters.
