Boris was prepared to damage our relations with Ireland to get Brexit through.
He sucked up to Trump and on the surface got on well with him much to the shame of many of us in the UK.
He refused to challenge Trump on the Paris accord or make comment on Trumps treatment of Asians etc .
Will Biden remember this and forgive and forget or put us behind Ireland and the EU.

Everyone will put us behind the EU.
Strength in negotiations is one of the main advantages of being in the world's largest trading block.
Luckily Boris and Biden are on the same track when it comes to the environment. I think it may form the basis of their relationship.

The UK is a central US ally and that's not going to change.

Be rest assured, Plutocratic America loves being a serf to the European Union and though the UK has Brexited, it will certainly still benefit from a US-UK special relationship. So yes, the UK will receive assistance, as will Brussels and the others. It after all is the "hallmark" of American Democracy(barf)

We Americans got reawaken to the reality of our government in the form of $600 dollar checks while Nepal got 150,000. We're serfs. And people abroad live in special status.

Weird? I don't think so. But we are not Europeans and we don't think like them.

You don't have to think like Europe to be informed of how the world sees you in the states. Let me assure you that NO American President has EVER made life easy for countries beyond your borders. It is well known in the UK that trying to sell into America is a nightmare unless you can pair up with someone in the country.

    No, because if they rigged the 2020 election why didn't they rig the 2016 election.... maybe they did because they;
    a) like everyone else hate Hillary... so her own side shafted her and
    b) they needed Trump to start a war with China... so the globalists also shafted China

Is it equally difficult for an American business to sell in the UK without setting up shop there? I don't know. Perhaps it isn't. Americans do harbor a lot of nationalism but I've seen a lot of Brits wearing the Union Jack as well. I think our American centrism may have started with the Boston Tea Party in 1773.

No us Brits are not as overtly patriotic as you Americans, but we love you for loving your country and we mimic you. Which is a shame as I liked us as Brits with our quirks. And we love being Brits.
I have only been to the States once (So far) and the Americans we met were to kindest, politest people I have ever met.

In answer to your question, as far as I know it is not as difficult to bring products into the UK and sell them. And the UK government do not use red tape to block imports.

As far as being "put behind," yes Biden will definitely put the UK behind the EU and Ireland, but not because of any personal relationship with Boris and Trump, but because he opposed Brexit and since the Obama administration position was not pursue a trade agreement with the UK if they chose Brexit, he's likely to continue that. Trump of course wanted a free trade agreement with the UK after Brexit but the clock ran out on that.

But otherwise, I expect that Biden will still want to continue whatever remains of the "special relationship."

OK. I thought the opposite was true. I see an endless parade of imports hitting our shores. Trump's tariffs may have impeded that somewhat in recent years.

I appreciate your comments about Americans. My single visit to the UK was a pleasant experience as well. One morning I shared a breakfast table at the hotel with a Scottish lord who was in town for the Wimbledon tennis matches. He invited me and took me to Wimbledon that day as his guest. Our two countries are strong allies to be sure.

There are certain Americans(hint: Yours truly) who would like to change that, and I thought Trump would have done so but he took a sledge hammer to the problem and it didn't work. I think diplomacy and exchanges are the key to a more equilibrium trade and I want it because I'm tired of paying off the European Union. The Marshall Plan was supposed to be long over.

There are some well known cases of America misusing rules to stop imports. Scottish whiskey was one, it was banned from sale in America because it is matured in sherry casks which were not sterilised before use.

My business has developed a downloadable product which we wish to sell across the English speaking world. The first thing our accountants did when we mentioned America was tell us to call our lawyers. ;)

I humbly apologize for how backwards my country is. And yes, that's a form of love when you can criticize the political developments of your own country. We use words like 'Fascist' without having any real knowledge of fascism. Our historians can't even properly articulate our own history anymore, it's just really sad at this point. We're like Cuba in 1970, only we have superpower weapons and stuff.

I think protectionism does have a place in first world countries to buy time. That time is needed to allow second world countries who have caught up with us in manufacturing and technology, to also catch up in standard of living and human rights (Specifically human rights which make the cost of living higher)
However deliberate forestalling of trade between 1st world countries has never proved advantageous to either party.
Nationalists are misinformed in this matter, persuaded that forcing goods to be manufactured at home increases both jobs and pay.
