It is not hard to see why the Trump admin failed.

I wonder if that is what Bolton and Trump were thinking when they dismantled governmental departments assigned to respond to a pandemic a few years before one hit the US?

As ranking member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, I’ve been part of efforts to block President Trump’s most troubling judicial picks. While I believe each nominee deserves to be assessed on his or her own merits, I will continue to oppose any nominees whose views are outside the judicial mainstream.

As part of the confirmation process, the committee receives a rating by the nonpartisan American Bar Association for each nominee to a district or circuit court. These evaluations tell us about a nominee’s “professional competence, integrity and judicial temperament.”

During his eight years office, President Obama didn’t nominate a single individual who received a “not qualified” ABA rating. In contrast, in just four years President Trump has nominated nine individuals rated “not qualified” to serve as federal judges.

Of those nine nominees, seven were confirmed for lifetime appointments to the bench, including three that Senate Republicans jammed through last year:
Justin Walker, Sarah Pitlyk and Lawrence VanDyke. Judiciary Committee Democrats opposed all three nominees, and the ABA ratings factored in those decisions.

The reason he failed is easy to see, Donald trump.
Thats it right there, he failed because he is a failure and didn't need or care about succeeding. he just wanted the attention and the money.

Deflection 101. Accuse the organization calling out your nominees for being unqualified, biased.

I'm sure the American Bar Association checks all the boxes. But the more "expertise" an organization brings to the table, it has been my experience that their biases are more pronounced.

I find it quite incredible that you all only talk about the pre-pandemic economy and employment. As a matter of fact the US has lower employment and worse economy now than when Trump took office. You'll say "but that's the pandemic!" No, that's the messy and botched pandemic response! I posted today this ranking by an Australian organization, of 98 countries in the world in terms of the efficiency and quality of their pandemic response. The United States had the 5th worst result, only ahead of Iraq, Colombia, Mexico, and Brazil! Freaking Bolivia outperformed us!!! So, it's the incompetent and botched response (and surely, more people in addition to Trump are to blame including Democrat governors and mayors but I do believe that Trump is the one with the biggest share of the blame) that destroyed the economy and employment. You don't get to forget this whole part when praising his administration.

Has started no wars... sure. But during his watch, more Americans died than in all of our conflicts together except WWII. And considering just WWII, more Americans died of Covid-19 than in WWII. So, not starting any wars is good but no consolation given the carnage.

Great. This guy is wearing a mask way past its validity, not being protected, and likely going around with it imprudently. Darwin would have something to say about it.

One wonders how much of COVID's spread is a direct result of the kind of reckless attitude displayed by Trump devotees like Dayton.
