Biden is going to have a hard time getting anything beyond DACA codified into law as far as immigration. I really don't have a problem with his 11 year pathway to citizenship really since it is supposed to sift out the serious criminals from the bunch. It is just going to be met with a lot of pushback even from within the immigrant community, let alone the GOP and Senate Swing Vote Manchin.

Federal Judge Drew Tipton on Tuesday issued the order after Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton sued President Joe Biden's administration late last week alleging the moratorium is unconstitutional and violates an agreement between the Department of Homeland Security and Texas.

I grew up in Los Angeles and know what it is like to live in fear. Gangs strengthen their number through illegal immigration and I remember having to cut through back yards on my way home from school so they wouldn't find out where I lived. They threatened to kill me and my family over a minor playground dispute with one of their cousins. I have been robbed at gunpoint 1/2 block from the police station.

I don't feel like my government represents me anymore.

Your story amplified hundreds of thousand of times over the country in areas, almost always blue areas, where government policy creates an ecosystem where crime thrives and criminals flourish.

 

And that was almost 40 years ago. It is much worse now. I am fortunate to have raised my kids in a safe neighborhood and they never know what it was like to live in fear. Its the poor that suffer the most under the leadership that claims to be on their side.
