To assure fairness and equality among members of both the House and the Senate, and establish equality in representation, if members of Congress wont go along with term limits they need to do this. Once you become a committee chairman, you can only hold that position for two years and never again. Also once Speaker of the House, and Senate majority leader, they too can only hold that position for two years, and never again.

That rule would assure more equal representation for all the states.

Hmmm, OK. It's AOC's turn at the Speakership next...

What? You don't like that idea? Didn't think so.
Having the Congressmen vote on Speaker kind of deals the crazies out of the mix, on both sides, which is a good thing.

I like it, but it's as likely to happen as term limits.

No they would still move up to Chairmanship by seniority.

But it really needs to happen. There is too much power in too few of hands in Congress.

I appreciate the sentiment, but what makes you think members of Congress are interested in fairness and equality?

WE currently have low age minimum, we should also have high age limits for both the house and senate.

90%+ of the House/Senate only care about being in power, very little about what is best for the country

If anyone ever put up term limits for a vote, they would quickly vote no in a very bi-partisan way

We must accept the fact that politicians will vote themselves benefits but they will never vote for anything that reduces their power or reduces their ability to make money. Politicians may be stupid but they ain't that stupid.
