    and that is your perspective. Not ever one agrees. eg: suggesting that injecting a disinfectant would deal with the virus. Or the virus is a hoax. Those are memorable examples of genuine foolishness. If the virus was not so serious/deadly .......it would be laughable.

    If an outgoing Democrat president made the comments Trump made, the media would have portrayed it as an historic demonstration of patriotism and Churchillian leadership

    I still can't get over Trump calling John McCain a loser which I find un-acceptable. I consider Donald Trump more of a loser than McCain. I don't consider McCain a loser at all. McCain is a winner with me. Trump was a loser in the 2020 election and that is a fact and it won't be changed. Trump faces a 2nd impeachment and that's not all, there are too many neighborhoods in this country that don't want a big sore loser like Trump in their neighborhood, and I don't blame them. I wouldn't want Trump as a neighbor either. How do you feel about that? I don't think those that live on the poverty line or homeless people would want Trump as a neighbor. What do you think about that? I thought so.:lol:

    That is impossible. The official charge of treason only applies to someone helping a nation with which we are actively at war. In the 1950s, there was no declaration of war against Russia. The official charge was conspiracy against the United States of America. <Mod Edit>

    The Senate Trial is a LOSE-LOSE scenario for the Republicans.

    If they vote to acquit then they CONDONE the traitorous insurrection by their biggest *LOSER* which will be held against them in the elections in 2022 and 2024.

    If they vote to convict then the extremist rightwingers will DEFEAT them in the PRIMARY elections in 2022 and 2024.

    There is NO upside for the GOP.

    It is a sad, strange phenomenon for which I have a major suggestion:

    let an independent commission of scientists, educators and entenpreneurs give a report card on an administration 40 days after it is not in power. Let that report card speak for itself and be done with it.

    People are really, and justifiably, upset this time because Trump so unbelievably ****ed up literally every aspect of how to combat a pandemic, and it has cost lives.
