I think if what Biden says is serious "I will be a President for ALL people" is true, he needs to call for an end to it. We are not a banana republic....yet
It is up to The Senate. Trump deserves to be held responsible for Inciting a Deadly Act of Domestic Terrorism. Even if Trump is acquitted, which is very likely (since it seems hard to imagine that they could get 17 GOP votes to convict)--It would still force All of the GOP Senators to go on record. In any event, Trump is done (as far as ever running for President). If the GOP decided to re-nominate Trump in 2024, it would lead to a Catastrophic Defeat for the GOP (all the way up and down the ticket).

I would prefer to try the insurrectionists first. They are now blaming Trump, they should be used to testify against Trump for a lighter sentence. That would be poetic.
