I believe this is the second lawsuit filed against a Trump lawyer for $1.3B. There is a similar lawsuit against Sidney Powell. https://www.cnn.com/2021/01/25/politics/dominion-lawsuit-giuliani/index.html
Just waiting for the final shoe to drop as they sue the last President for the same amount. They do have a case here. All they have to prove is a single order was canceled after the "fraud" claims were started.
I tried to get some quick information on Dominion to see if there stock prices have been impacted since the election but Dominion is a private company so it is not publicly traded. For the same reason it is also difficult to find financial information about the company. I think Dominion may have a legitimate lawsuit but I am guessing the amounts are not realistic. They have $2.6B in lawsuits against Giuliani and Powell and I would guess the company is not worth that much total. Also they are a Canadian company and one of their largest clients appears to be the government of Canada. I think it is unlikely they will cancel orders because of this. They can sue for lost business and even the potential lost of future business due to loss of goodwill but they would have to account for those numbers.
They don't need to prove that. If their reputation was damaged, they could argue lost of new business They will get settlements
Per the NY Times article. “Notably, not a single one of the three complaints signed and filed by Giuliani and other attorneys for the Trump Campaign in the Pennsylvania action contained any allegations about Dominion,” the lawsuit says. If that's the case, good luck with Malice.
Yes they lied about it on tv and at rallies but knew better than to try that BS in court! Telling isn’t it?
I think Dominion is planning on using that fact as evidence that Giuliani knew what he was saying publicly was not true and thus would not say it in court.
