Living here, I find that photography can't capture the landscape; it has to be a painting

Stage 4 Carefully rub the masking fluid off the sky leaving the trees. Stage 5, I used Cadnium yellow, lemon yellow and Naples yellow to scarify the leaves I mixed the 3 colours separately and randomly dipped the brush in each( I will add more detail towards the end)
Scarifying. Hold the brush flat between 3 fingers and your thumb, using the side of the brush scratch the paint over the area applying an uneven coat.
This is the point at which I wonder if the painting is going to work, plenty don't.

It was more that there was no comment but yours. I was not offended just thought no one was interested. :)

At first it looked like a eagle in a death dive, with something caught in it's talons. But I see it now!

    Similar here.

A couple of years back, I was taking a very back route closer along the English Mountains, and found out what Purple Mountain's Majesty really means... the setting sun was at just that moment.. and I almost ran off the road watching it light the mountains in a purple glow....

20210125_152843.jpg This is our new guppy nursery. We will just let the girl go and have her babies. The plants are plastic and the tank needs to cycle.

In fairness many of these steps are quite quick, but there is a lot of waiting for bits to dry.
And as I said, much of watercolour is a skill anyone can learn.
Here's the one I'm really working on with my painting buddy.

About 5:30 this morning I opened the back door to let my cat in I didn't have my glasses on and the thing that came in was bigger than my cat. My first thought was oh, oh..and the commercial about the woman turning in a raccoon. We had a storm move in and the the bigger than my cat was a small dog. I finally got her calmed down and started calling neighbors and found where she belonged. Her owners were visiting some people down the road.

It was a skunk kit.. kept for years.. well about as much as you keep acat.

We were down in The Basin in Texas there were skunks everywhere moving around like they were visitors too. They didn’t bother us we kept our distance. We stayed in one of the cabins and no problem with any of the wild things. Interesting place.

It's the javalina here, they'll walk right up to you if you feed them.. BUT they can be dangerous if you startle them. Used to have racoon raids on the trash can.. but I deported the raiders.. I guess the rest of the racoons can follow my rules.
