the show Real Time is a comedy show...hosted by a comedian

it is meant to poke fun and critique current politics..

Couric is certainly entitled to her opinion..she was making a lame attempt at comedy

she thought saying "de-program" would be humorous

she was pointing out the cult of trump that do not believe trump lost the election

    and I agree

if anyone reading this believes trump won the election,

then being a trump cult member is the only reasonable excuse for that belief

come on folks...60 failed lawsuits filed by trump and heard by the very judges trump appointed

and still no mass voter fraud

the people that stormed the capitol should be brought to justice and righty so

and just like other criminals they should have the opportunity to be rehabilitated from the sickness that caused them to commit the crimes.

so instead of saying trumpers should be de-programmed they should be rehabilitated from the cult

trump is a loser..get over it

His goal is to maintain control of his following in order to protect himself.

"In recent weeks, Trump has entertained the idea of creating a third party, called the Patriot Party, and instructed his aides to prepare election challenges to lawmakers who crossed him in the final weeks in office, including Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.), Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp (R), Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) and Rep. Tom Rice (R-S.C.), according to people familiar with the plans.

Multiple people in Trump’s orbit, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss private conversations, say Trump has told people that the third-party threat gives him leverage to prevent Republican senators from voting to convict him during the Senate impeachment trial."

Actually, TDS is an acronym, banned on this board, used to explain away Trump's corruption and indecency.

Yeah, you go with that. TDS is made up to deflect from those that accept the lies and deceit without question.

I dont doubt any of that. It’s always about Trump, never anything else.

The problem he has is that although 45 % of republicans believe the election was stolen, the other 55 don't. Trump has seriously fractured the party. It may take a very long time for that fracture to heal. Especially if he keeps his promise to go after those that did not believe it. I have no doubt he will, because he is a vindictive baby man. But that will bode well for the Democratic Party ;)

I wish there was something like de-programming that did work on people because God knows that the right wing Dirty Donald believers that believe his every word, certainly don't respond to truth and facts just like him. The one area that he definitely was a world leader in during his tenure was LYING, yet they would swear on the bible that the bullshit coming out of his mouth was gospel truth.

Just like we had to de-program the nazis after Hitler fell, she thinks we have to de-program the conservatives now that Trump has fallen. The problem is that you can't de-program hate. Conservatives were not programed by Trump. He was just a great way for them to channel their hatred.

Haha, have you seen the state controlled media wetting themselves over Biden: "his arms embracing us", he's like salve in a wound," etc. etc. Talk about a cult...

Uh...I think we all know about the guy from Utah who was antagonizing everyone and he isn't a journalist, so had no reason to be there if he wasn't "part of it." Maybe he was the only one, although I seriously doubt it.

So, if they vote to convict, they get "primaried" by a Trump Party candidate (running as a Republican?), and if they vote not to convict, the state turns blue.

Looks like a win-win to me. The more Trump, the better for Democrats.

No. It's foaming at the mouth from Clinton supporters to explain away Clinton's corruption and indecency. Most of it is personal and unrelated to actual policies except for the dangerous and xenophobic Russia hoax.

    Two things:

    1) Classic case of projection from the Cult of Fiasco

    2) Desperate cry for attention

De-programming is a term typically used in reference to leading people back away from membership in a cult. It is also used in connection with the purge of the Big Lie from civil society. e.g. de-Nazification. Trump is at the head of just such a Fascist cult. His core followers are Fascists.

I figure you take offense to what Couric says, because she speaks the truth: truth does hurt, after all. You are of course free to try to boycott/cancel her; it's still a free country.
