Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz said in a statement that his office would look into “whether any former or current DOJ official engaged in an improper attempt to have DOJ seek to alter the outcome of the 2020 Presidential Election.” The announcement follows reports in The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal that a former DOJ lawyer plotted with the president to reverse his Electoral College defeat.
There was no insurrection attempt. That is a foolish comparison. if you choose to believe otherwise you are entitled to your demonstrably wrong opinion.

These IG reports are toothless, we know this because even though it's been confirmed that several top officials within our investigative agencies frankly LIED THEIR ASS OFF, they weren't prosecuted for it. Now it's the democrats turn to be disappointed by the toothless investigations.
From what I heard on PBS Newshour last night, this is not about the riot, it is whether Trump used people in the DOJ to change the results of the Georgia presidential election in his favor. It should give anyone pause, if he actually tried this. I wouldn't be surprised if he did.
