This is a dramatic contrast considering Trump never even got 50% approval. In 2 weeks, Biden has already done something Trump couldn't do in 4 years. Amazing!

Killed a few hundred thousand jobs, ensured gas prices would be above average this summer, made illegal immigration easier, weakened the security of our national grid, signaled to Moscow he was going to put us back into a nuclear treaty that only favors them, enacted a limp dick mask mandate then broke it minutes with his entire family, asked for media to cut him slack after not even 48 hours on the job, went from promising the greatest act of government in history regarding COVID if he were elected to saying "there is nothing we can do to change the trajectory of this pandemic" after he won, I'm stopping here because he hasn't been on the job a week and already things are falling apart.

But, ya sure, approval numbers, right, why not.

All he has to do is not behave like a child on twitter & not try to overturn the election & he'll be fine for a while. The bar has been set pretty low.

What jobs has he killed? Also, it's important to provide the entire quote concerning COVID. He said we can't change the trajectory over the net few months, not that nothing could be done period. You can't just flip a switch and see a dramatic change in fighting a novel virus considering the brainwashing from the previous administration. It will take a few months to implement a plan to increase vaccine rollout, something Trump and his cronies neglected. Gas prices are rising due to anticipation of vaccine rollout and an actual adult in charge of the pandemic response. Biden took off the mask so he could give a speech and then immediately put it back on after finishing. If he kept it on his mask while speaking, people would complain they couldn't understand him and it's a sign of dementia.

The lost jobs is Keystone related. The COVID trajectory comment is typical politics; one message/promise for the campaign and another after it's successful. The projected rise in gas prices is based on crude speculation not on vaccines; short & long term spec influenced by the Biden Administration's energy plans as well as a few traditional benchmarks. The mask thing was not the result of his speech but from the tour he and his family took after, it was not a few minutes it was a prolonged event there's photos of he and his maskless grandchildren roaming the grounds.

1,000 jobs were lost with the keystone reversal and the 11,000 jobs that were anticipated with the contract were mostly seasonal and short term. Not a few hundred thousand. Crude speculation is up because of vaccine rollout with hope that it will boost the economy. When Trump was elected and before he took office, gas prices went up 26 cents. Did those speculators fear Trump would turn the oil industry upside down? Biden's mandate says masks should be worn according to CDC guidelines, not that masks should be worn all the time. CDC says masks are more important in crowded areas, indoors, or around people you don't know. Biden was outside and with his family and one other person in the video. Did Biden follow CDC guidelines?

Obama had a recession and a pandemic to deal with too.... and a party of "no", he still passed the country off better then he got it

Had Trump even cared a little about the pandemic, we would have been much better off

Give people time to forget about what a terrible president Trump was and they’ll come around to disliking Biden’s performance in no time. Almost anyone in politics could be president right now and look good in comparison to Trump. It’s hardly an accomplishment

"Among registered voters" ... that is to say only a part of the population.
Anyway it's interesting: it indicates that also a part of the voters who voted [or would have voted] for Trumps are appreciating in some measure Biden.

Personally I like his approach to the matter of the pandemic and since this is The Matter now, I could even say that I don't dislike Biden. Then, 4 years are long and this administration has done almost nothing, Presidential executive orders aside [and those executive orders were announced, obvious and expected].

Now Biden and his administration have to begin to pass from paper to facts, from EOs and laws to real actions. In poor words they have to manage the country [this is the job of an administration]. We will see.

Every pipeline job is seasonal. That's how pipeline jobs are. Every worker knows this but when they do work, it's very good pay for those workers. Jobs are planned well in advance, unions and oil and gas companies invest thousands of man hours just planning and engineering the jobs. Then there are companies that manufacture and transport the supplies that are also affected by this cancellation. It's more than 1,000 jobs as you say. But reading your response also tells me you don't know how pipeline jobs work.

So he kills tens of thousands of jobs, tells us he can't do anything about the pandemic even though he promised to bring a plan that would defeat it, and is spinelessly silent on the fraudulent unconstitutional impeachment trial of a private citizen; and yet 63% of Americans give him approval. Speaks volumes about 63% of Americans.

I always wonder how they come up with this, I have never been polled for anything. I would expect Trumps outgoing approval rating to be around 35% with only the die hard supporters giving him an upvote. At the same time, I do not believe Biden is above 55-60% having already done some fairly controversial things.

Nah, I voted for him, and while I don't like him as a person, there's no question your average person is better off now than they were in 2016...

Everyone except the people Democrats barred from going to work.

    Really?

What has changed? All I have seen is a punch of identity politics pandering. That makes you feel "good"?

Our country is ****ed when stupidity like identity politics is the goal. The children have taken the wheel. Hang on!
