Even more corrupt is that AG has recently indicated that nursing home deaths were underreporting by 50%!

When you're told by your national security advisor on Jan 28, 2020...“This will be the biggest national security threat you face in your presidency...This is going to be the roughest thing you face", it might be something you want to take seriously.
When your Trade Advisor tells you on Jan 30, 2020..."The lack of immune protection or an existing cure or vaccine would leave Americans defenseless in the case of a full-blown coronavirus outbreak on US soil,...This lack of protection elevates the risk of the coronavirus evolving into a full-blown pandemic, imperiling the lives of millions of Americans.”, you might want to take it seriously.

In other words, maybe if he took it a little more seriously then more citizens might have taken it more seriously and wore a mask and socially distanced themselves. Maybe more governors would have taken it more seriously which in turn could have gotten more citizens to take wearing masks and socially distancing more seriously.
When the leader of the country keeps saying it's no big deal then how do you expect the citizens to treat it as a big deal?
I'm not saying Trump could have stopped COVID, no one could. But he could have done more to get people to not treat it like a big joke.

One might ask why Fauci issued a grant of money borrowed from China to Wuhan through Eco Health Alliance for a project that we had no control over ,,, after he found out that a stipulation on FY2015 funding would be to exclude gain of function research like developing a more virulent virus like COVID-19.

We should have listened to our own experts and led by example. Make common sense responses such as wearing masks and distancing patriotic. We should have organized our responses so we didn't have a patchwork response that differed from state to state and county to county. We should have told the American people the truth early on.
Oh, and we should not have turned this into a political issue placing blame, name calling, division etc. and looked for solutions. For example responses like post #12 do nothing positive to solve the problem, only seek to avoid it.

 

You forget, our own experts were empaneled on January 29 when we knew we had a problem that was estimated to be 2.2M deaths. When we saw the problem came from Wuhan on January 31 we shut down foreign entry from that area. When a hot spot emerged in Southern Europe, we shut down travel from there.

In the meantime, Democrats criticized the restrictions, held a Chinese New Year super spreader in NY, a Mardi Gras super spreader in New Orleans, and flew to pick up the disease and bring it back from the Madrid International Women's Day super spreader.

In the meantime, Fauci and Birx were given regular airtime to communicate the truth as they knew it on a given day, which they did. They waffled, reflecting their lack of command of the disease and how to deal with it. When the 'experts waffle' policy makers do what they can to keep people as safe as possible.

Hospitals were getting money from China plague deaths so everyone that died was reported as dying from the china plague. Car accident victims, gun shot victims, cancer patients, heart attacks, stroke, flu and everything else were called china plague deaths. When the test came out there were many false positives and false negatives. Another problem is that people are too stupid to think for themselves. If your sick stay home. That works for all communicable disease but it doesn't happen. So by DCP standards every china plague death from Jan 20 2021 is now on Traitor Joe's hands.
