    New York Assembly Republicans Start Impeachment Process Against Governor Cuomo

    It's not surprising this has happened after Cuomo's aide admitted they fudged some numbers.

    Do you think he will be found guilty or not?

    Maybe his defense can be "it was a perfect call" when the phone call he made to under-report covid deaths in nursing homes comes up.

    They have elected Republicans in New York? And they filed for impeachment? Well, that certainly puts Democrats in the Empire State between the rock and hard place; continue the coup against King Cuomo, or circle the wagons around him to stymie the Republicans. You bet'cha I'm a cynic, wasn't born that way, just had it beat into me every day of my life. :nana:

    What did Cuomo do that the other Democrat governors didn't do?

    When did you decide this was a problem? People like me been saying it was a problem from day 1.

    I hope so, but impeachments are political.

    Was this just a Cuomo thing or did he work with other Democrats to spread the virus

    Great. I started a thread asking for his removal; I'm glad that steps in this direction are happening.

    Republicans scream all kind of nonsense, you can’t blame us for needing verification before we condemn something. If we operated off of blind cult like faith we would have done something crazy like storm the US Capitol building...

    What other Democrats did this and then concealed the numbers?

    The only reason you are turning on Cuomo is because he got caught. Do you think he did this alone or were other governors involved like Newsom?

    It is turning out that your riot was staged like i said from day 1. I could tell by the obvious photo ops.
    You think Newsom did this to or is he honest like Cuomo?

    I have never defended Cuomo is the slightest so I have no idea what you are referring to. As for people turning against him because he was caught... yes... that is typically what rational people do. Prior to being “caught” rational people have no reason to turn against them. I guess comparison between rumor and evidence confuse some however.

    Do you have an article to present on Newsom?

    I don't want to comment to give Democrats ideas about what to do. But, I really want to comment, so I'll use the spoiler tag:
    Ok, so I haven't been following this story much, but I've been under the impression that this nursing home business happened at the very early stages of this Coronavirus pandemic.

    I have observed that Democrats did not take the Coronavirus threat seriously in the early stages of the disease spread. Heck, Pelosi went to Chinatown without a mask! We'll never know how many people were killed due to not taking this threat seriously and early enough.

    It's also ironic that conservatives argued that Coronavirus deaths were over-counted and from other sources.

    BTW, I think New York Dems have been trying to get rid of Cuomo for years now. He is very corrupt and sides with Republicans a bit too often.
