I will take the vaccine when it is available to me for lots of reasons. Included is that we are seeing some movement toward vaccine requirement in order to travel.

Must be a lucky coincidence. Strange that it didn't make the news either. Probably the Lizard people from the Vatican whisked the deceased and everyone who knew them away in the night.
Everyone except Eleuthera. Run Eleuthera, Run.

The vaccine caused an embolism, oh dear oh dear, you couldn't write better stuff than this. :roflol:

I normally tend to believe people too, some may call me naive. But, this story? 1.5 million get vaccinated every day with pretty much zero news of deaths attributed to the vaccine. However, an anti-vaxxer knows someone who has died from the vaccine. The probability just doesn't add up.

You are far more likely to be killed by lightning than to even know someone who was killed by the vaccine

Would this be due to their more passive and docile willingness to follow what big brother tells them to do instead of thinking for themselves?

Do you mean following the advice of medical experts instead of radical claims by some religious nut?

    Okay free spirit! Fly! Fly!!

You can't find a better definition of big brother than religion. Religion most of all tells you to NEVER think for yourself.

I understand why you feel that way. Neither of us will ever know for certain just as we don't know the truth about anything outside our own experiences and exposure to the world around us.

I have a question for you. I haven't seen anyone particularly swayed by the anti-vax movement who wasn't already inclined to distrust the government and/or vaccines. What does any poster have to gain by lying about it?

If you rely on the news for your truth, you are naïve. The "news" doesn't even inform you on what the government is actually doing and it makes raging claims about things that are days later shown to be false. Never trust the media or the government, either party.

did I say trust religion, or are you just making things up?

Have you ever thought for yourself or do you just let big brother do y our thinking for you?

I take zinc and garlic for any infection. Have taken those on and off throughout this and haven't been sick with anything. I rarely catch anything anyhow, good genetics I assume.

I intended to take the vaccine when it became my turn because I figured if too many people refused it, that would be used as the excuse not to let us go back to pre-2020 normal. However, our leaders and so-called medical experts keep telling us we won't go back to normal anyway, so I may not. The travel issue is big with me too, so it kind of depends on whether we see it going back to normal, as vaccination increases or not.

Who gives a sh#t what Bill Gates thinks?? He's not a medical or scientific expert, he's a computer guy for God's sake. I mean, I'm a secretary, so why doesn't the news media ask for my opinion?

No, it would be due to their experience of dealing with people in the medical profession. That and the fact that almost everyone knows a nurse or a doctor and does not believe that this entire group would keep the lid on such a lie as you espouse.

right now, there is not enough supply, so I am fine with some not wanting the vaccine, let those that want it get it first

if after we all get it, you see it's safe, then you can change your mind if you choose

"Bill Gates, perhaps the richest man in the world, has also not been injected. No rush."

Bill Gates did get the vaccine, last month

One of the benefits of being 65 is that I’m eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine. I got my first dose this week, and I feel great. Thank you to all of the scientists, trial participants, regulators, and frontline healthcare workers who got us to this point."

I can think of a million other ways to achieve that without subjecting myself to ridicule, insults and dismissal. I'm not saying that some people don't do this. I just don't get that impression here. There are many forums in which to speak those views with little to no backlash (and even have agreement) but this isn't one of them. Unless a person is a glutton for punishment, why bother?

No problems here, either. I had a headache, but can't say it was from the shot. And my arm--you know that old familiar sting...

The last time I got shot, 40 years ago, I had a aui and a headache, too.

I was told after my 1. vaccination not to have a bier. But my interest in science took over and I made a Phase 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 study., only side effect, I had to pee frequently.

What do they have to gain? He obviously have made his point that the vaccine is useless and dangerous. Isn't it surprising that someone he knows died from the covid vaccine, an anecdote supposedly supporting his argument? The gain is "winning" the argument, saying, see my suspicion of the vaccine was correct all along.

That is precisely the reason to do so here. People like you don't think that it will be done here. A free pass.

A little bit of research by you, or a direct question to me, would show how off base you are in your conclusions about me. I truly don't care about religion.

How is that any different than someone who is pro-vax saying they know someone (or several) that was saved from COVID? It doesn't mean anything except to the person making the claim. His or her reader is going to believe whatever they want to believe regardless of the anecdotes.
