General: Pentagon Hesitated on Sending Guard to Capitol Riot
There is much to answer for on what actually happened at the Capitol on January 6th. It's frightening that it would take hours to get a response in a crisis such as this. The Chief of Capitol Police resigned after the riot and two officers present that day committed suicide making it three LEOs that died as a result.

People are saying that it looks bad for the National Guard to be there with fencing around the Capitol. While that may true, I think it looks bad that our Capitol was overrun by hundreds of people seeking to cause trouble.

Hopefully, this didn't happen in vain and is the catalyst needed to make significant changes in the way law enforcement is engaged in emergency situations.

    What do you think?

It appears that General Flynn the borother of the criminal General Flynn was part of this delay in sending in the Guard.

In fact is that the initial denial that Lt. General Charles Flynn by the Pentagon is not truthful. Talk about bad optics to say the least.

Sonwhat the subjectbis Gen Charles Flynn not Gen. Michael Flynn ( Retired).
The dismissal of the retired Gen. Michael Flynn was at best done under suspicious conditions. If an honest investigation of the retired Flynn case was ever conducted I would say that we would uncover that his dismissal of investigation of his criminal acts was is in itself a criminal act.

He was pardoned, which means he admitted guilt for what must be the 6th time.

Thank you thank you for making that point of reminder. Correct that the pardon does absolve the guilt only the punishment. So Flynn is still guilty as hell but some Russian writer needs to write a 1000 page book called "Crimes But No Punishment" ...

Former and retired General Michael Flynn should get all of the same respect Former General Traitor Turd Benedict Arnold got from the American Patriots after his betrayal of our fledgling country.

And this is what I was worried about the most-evidence that the military was going to help in an auto-golpe. Not good.

At the very least Biden must fire Flynn and revoke any security clearance.

Biden needs to work this behind the scenes and let the military handle their investigation of Generalisimo Charles Flynn. We do not need a repeat of Donnie Dildo 's interference in military justice.

He admitted it to avoid being bankrupted by legal fees and because the FBI was going after his son. His pardon is irrelevant, the charges were dismissed.

I know that he has the power to do that. There is the right to do something and there is the ""do things right". i
Have we not learned anything from the Trumpocity administration of doing something just because that POTUS had the right to do it versus doing things thstbate right.

You are rendering or repeating an opinion or better said an excuse by Flynn thatbthevFBI was " goingbafter" his son. If the FBI was investigating Flynn's son they must have had a good reason.

I consider that excuse by the criminal Michael Flynn to be a lie unless he can proove that the FBI did anything wrong. Based on all the other criminals and pieces of Schiest in the Trump admoinisgration and in his campaign staffs such as Manafort, Stone, Cohen, Giuliani, and the rest
Common sense! Just those 4 I mentioned are Turds. Have you not kept up on events.! Or have you closed your eyes, ears and mind to the type of low lives Donnie has around him?

Exactly. Flynn is entitled to defend himself. Biden won't fire him before giving him that opportunity. Doesn't mean he shouldn't be fired. It's just the way things are supposed to be done.

Think of all the young people who became politically aware 4 years ago and since. To them, proper protocol is something new. It will take years to undo Trump's damage.

True as you say. Trump caused so much damage to our country in so many ways that the evil of the stench of that damage will linger for too long.
