Biden tells NASA engineer Indian-Americans are ‘taking over the country’

I love it when they called Trump a racist. Compared to Biden Trump was more like the ACLU. Biden appears to be the Racist. But, what doubts could we have when he gave a eulogy at Former KKK Grand Cyclops Robert Byrd's funeral. It's real easy to figure out where Biden stands on the subject of race. I didn't vote for him for many reasons, including those described in the article above. What an embarrassment.

 

Biden made the seemingly tone-deaf effort at levity...

Yeah, it's embarrassing. What it's not is racist. The article is clear on this.

And what exactly was wrong with that??? Have you noticed that virtually evefry doctor either male or female on TV commenting on Covid treatment either has a foreign name or accent or is very obviously Indian or of direct Indian descent. It is being complimentary to these people who are dominating our intelligent high IQ work. Very many of our top companies on the stock exchange have Indian CEO's, they are the brains of our country.

 

Exactly. It was a sarcastic gaffe. GWB used to do it all the time. Yes, he was complimenting them. The "Fake War on Racist Joe Biden" will forever march on. Pathetic.

 

So why pick on Indian-Americans?

Doesn't appear to have been said to spite Indian-Americans at all, but rather in celebration of what they've been able to achieve in the US. The full statement was as follows

"Are you kidding me? What an honor this is. This is an incredible honor. And it’s amazing. Indian — of descent — Americans are taking over the country: you; my Vice President; my speechwriter, Vinay. I tell you what. But thank you. You guys are incredible"

I can see how the phrasing that describes a group as "taking over the country" alone can be perceived as a negative, since that phrasing is often used in a derogatory manner by some people. However, this particular instance doesn't appear to have been used as a derogatory

I wasn't really commenting on any past remarks made by Biden

 

my point was this is not an isolated incident and he has a long history of such remarks

 

Just like their fake war on Christmas. They just need something to be outraged about. It’s rather sad to see grown men constantly whining.

 

So you believe that a guy who makes a gaffe is "more racist" than the guy who actually tortured the children of refugees. Got it!

The reality is that the Indians who have immigrated to the U.S. are some of India's best and came legally. They contribute meaningfully to our economy and society. The opposite is true of Hondurans.

 

I may be mistaken , but when I read the entire quote I don't feel like he is picking on Indian Americans. Here is what he said to Indian American woman who headed the last successful space probe landing: "This is an incredible honor. Indian -- of descent -- Americans are taking over the country. You (Mohan), my Vice President (Kamala Harris), my speechwriter (Vinay Reddy) I tell you what. But thank you. You guys are incredible," Biden told Dr Mohan

 

How awful of Biden to say such complimentary things. Shame, shame, shame. Sarcasm off.

 

What? You're telling me that we'll have to endure for another 4 years the excuses, hyperbole and willful blindness by Trump loyalists that we have been suffering for the last 4 years???

Considering this it sounds more like he caught himself in another gaffe and made a correction.

 

Obama and Biden are the ones who put kids in cages, trump had them wait in Mexico. Woefully uninformed.
