This is the worst WaPo could make it look. I see some jostling going on. At the worst, about 6 guys are beating on a door too near lawmakers. Everybody else is standing around. A girl stupidly jumps up to go through a broken window, with a gun pointed right at her. The gunman stupidly shoots, instead of pistol whipping her noggin.
This also shows I was misled by a video showing one security guy leading protesters up steps. The liar edited out parts showing the security guy repeatedly pushing a man back, only leading to prevent being flanked by others, and turning to push the lead guy back several times. The cool security guy also pretended to block the wrong way in order to lead the bad guys astray. Nice!

If you care to search YouTube for video of damage to the Capitol Building, notice how little there is. Papers are strewn about. Some wall finish and doors are marked up. Not much is broken.

Compare that to businesses in cities all over the country. A single used car lot took more damage than the Capitol.
