    The problem with that malarkey is that you do not even know me and I can guarantee you, I have never in my life called a cop a racist or a pig or even anything similar.

    So, it is very interesting how "Conservatives" like to say exactly what Liberals have done.

    Why, it's almost as if it's projection...

    Oh, there is no doubt that systemic racism exists, the evidence for such is overwhelming, just as it is every easy to find evidence that water is wet. But that does not mean that every cop is racist. Intelligent people know how to discern between the one theme and the other. It's called "cognition".

    As for what people think, it's not your job to say what people think. Their thoughts are their own property. You know, freedom and liberty and such.

    Well all those riots in Portland cost PRIVATE store owners and city municipal's tax payers money too, but we are trying to ignore that aspect of violence and destruction...

    Exactly. Circumstances shouldnt change the punishment. Rioting in portland businesses and courthouses should have the same punishment as rioting in the capital building.

    They should be even. I think the rioters in the capital were idiots, and deserve punishment. I don't think it should be worse than the punishment that they would receive anywhere else just because it was the capital building.

    You want me to care more about a guy who sat in a chair that he wasn't supposed to sit in than about how our current Vice President not only directly and explicitly said that political violence must continue but helped raise funds to bail out people who set off explosive devices, used chemicals as weapons, firebombed cars, and stalker police in their own homes. I'm not going to, its insane!

    Well in another post you stated Portland was worse. Punishment, or sentencing is done after the ruling, and jurisdiction makes a difference.
