So private companies can make whatever business decisions they want?

If you're asking - yes, I do believe in regulations. They should be designed to keep the public safe and protected. I don't know how this situation threatens the public safety.

Yes - physically. And before you head in that direction, I do not believe in banning things because they hurt feelings or make people uncomfortable. But I do believe in the rights of companies to decide the direction they want to take and let the market decide if it was a good decision or not. Isn't that freedom?

"No blacks or women need apply" was also a business decision.... It was also a problem. Or would you be ok with it? Let the market sort it out?

Should the minimum wage also be done away with? Go back to company towns where workers are paid barely enough to survive and pay their rent back to the employer, keeping them in perpetual servitude? Its a business decision right?

Absolutely it's freedom! I'm glad that you are opposed to laws which make it illegal for a business which provides wedding services to refuse to provide services for same sex weddings.

If anti-discrimination laws were rescinded tomorrow, and a business adopted a "no blacks or women need apply" policy, how long do you think the business would last? 5 minutes maybe?

Is it possible that without that job, they wouldn't have a job?

Today, yes probably. That shows how much things have changed (improved). Back when these laws were first put into place these businesses could do very well.

Society has changed, and now some businesses and schools are hiring and admitting based on race, only against white peoole and especially asian people. These regulations suddenly get viewed by fake liberals as problems instead of as a way to keep discrimination in check, because discrimination is only taboo when against particular groups.

Very possible. Even likely if enough employers went this way (as was once the case). The bargaining power of an uneducated individual worker was near zero and employers could treat them as wage slaves. Thats why we needed these regulations.

Social pressure would have eventually succeeded.

So you agree with policies which discriminate against whites and asians?

What about the potential for monopolies to be created from a certain minimum wage, like $15?

You are right, it's a much broader story. What I was saying is that I have one picture story children's book that tells the movie story.

And I gather that it's not exactly appropriate by today's standards.

Next will be a ban of Huckleberry Finn and Tom Sawyer, then we can move on to banning any old cowboy and Indian books and movies due to the racist undertones.
Maybe we can have all of those books re written removing the words 'pioneers' and 'settlers' and replacing them with 'invaders' as it's closer to the truth.
    Where will it all end?

I am saying it is their company, and they can do whatever the heck they want. In this case they choose to honor Dr Seuss estate wish. Sorry if it triggers you.

In cases like that, I believe we should let the market deal with those sorts of businesses. Their business model is their business - and it is up to all of us to choose the businesses we want to offer our dollars. I happen to believe it is rather short sighted for business to refuse to bake cakes for certain people - but hey, there's always another bakery. And there's social media, which is tailor made for those situations.

Mein Kampf is NOT A CHILDREN'S BOOK. (Why are you having such a problem seeing this distinction between the two?)

While violating their own rules about offensive content! :roflol:

Your claim was that Trump called COVID a "hoax." False. Politifact disagrees with you: https://www.politifact.com/factchec...ch-biden-video-twists-trumps-words-coronavir/

eBay's didn't specify children's books in their statement in which they cited their 'offensive content' policy.

So you're unclear, yourself, as to whether Dr. Seuss is a children's author? Or is it that you are unsure as to whether EBAY realizes these are books intended for young kids (they don't include his more advanced classics, like The Lorax, Sneetches, or Myrtle the Turtle)?

To quote a favorite question of yours: WTF?
