You could find out by looking up th bill’s cosponsers, but I’ll just let you be surprised when the bill passes.

I have played a vital role in many GI loans being made to vets. I never heard of that. It would be a thing approved by FDR but not by Truman as I recall those two presidents.

GI funding for the purchase of homes was not by the Government and never has been. VA educational benefits could definitely been fewer for blacks who served under FDR than whites. Democrats would carve out things for blacks.
Those wanting to discuss this should first engage in learning from Gov sites on this topic to ensure they have their facts first. I got a minor amount of educational benefits and used my VA loan guarantee and it was paid off so I still have one I can use.

I seem to recall a made for TV movie or short series (memory is shot) following the life of young Black woman who could pass for White (and it may have been set in old New Orleans). I DO remember one scene where she says to the two elderly White women she lived with and worked for, "But I only have a little Black in me", to which one of the women replies, "Just one drop counts, honey". Perhaps another member with a better memory could conjure up the name and date of it.

The bill was introduced and has been each year since 1989. Let me know when it gets past introduction stage.

So you don't want Americans to be health or well-educated. Got it.

So YOU think that someone else should pay for your healthcare and education- I got that. And I probably already do, my taxes certainly would.
You have to be willing and able to learn in order to actually be educated. And education takes place not only in school buildings, but in life and class is in session 24/7.
Try attending that class and listening. Education is not something instilled in your head by force or against your will- YOU have to want to gain knowledge and wisdom (Many think they already know it all; but they are the dumbest of all) and the person most responsible for see that you are educated is YOU.
