No, it's not. An adulterer has to be married for it to be adultery. And yes the act can be both. Fornication is defined as sex between two people not married to each other. By definitions, all adultery is fornication, but not all fornication is adultery.

source bias aside, that still does not address how meaningful a marriage is to a given couple. Whether or not you feel my marriage to my three spouses is meaningful, only I can truly decide if it is meaningful to me. I can't even decide if it is meaningful, or to what degree it is, to my spouses. At best I can only note what they claim.

The word gamy implies sexuality is sacred.

You can have an orgy twice a day for all I care, just don't legalize it as a marriage unless we first strip out all the special rules/perks/policies for married people.

The not married would be correct. But again, the morality or immorality of such an act does vary by religion.

polygyny. Please use the correct term.

Your personal thought on the matter, and your religion's stance is irrelevant to another's religion's stance

There is nothing in the suffix of -gamy to indicate sacredness. That is before we take into account the fact that what is sacred to one religion is not necessarily sacred to others.

IDK. I saw something somewhere on TV with a couple who had done the 365 day sex challenge and they came across like more often than not it was like getting your teeth professionally cleaned every day to have to get through.

I am against same sex marriage, as recognized by the state, as I am against all marriage being recognized by the state. I see no reason why married couples should have any special recognition by the state, be given any special rights denied to single people, or be presumed to have entered any unspoken contract or with the spouse.

If you want a spiritual bond with another human being, same or other sexed, one or multiple, that should be your private business, recognized or not recognized by whoever cares to. If a religion wants to call it special or deny it being special, that's should be it's right.

If you want to have special contractual shared obligations with a life partner, that should be a contract formed between you with all of the particular terms clear and particular to the couple (or group). It need not be the same from group to group.

I see this as a separation of church and state issue as well as a personal rights and freedom issue. You should not have the church or state demanding what the other must hold as values. You should not have the state forcing a contractual term onto a romantic couple that they wouldn't have if merely friends.

When Democrats created tax laws due to marriage, they started this mess.
I prefer that marriage as you say remain a contract. I would not force you to buy a car nor to get married due to tax issues.

Yes. You should not get any tax break or additional tax burden for "being married" that a single person doesn't get.

The reason I am against same sex marriage ,is same sex couples cannot procreate...and procreation adds to the populace...and the populace can defend your country against procreative nations...same sex is a crime against nature....period,and should not be rewarded with the same . Nothing will change my mind about same sex union or marriage...I do not hate are berate people that subscribe to consenting adults with their sexual preference, but I dont condone it either...

Although the act of "Marriage" in this Nation has always had an implication of Faith between a man and a women, and in spite of the culture wishing to redefine that, government took steps to protect children. That is why they wrested that obligation away from the Church. Even our secular government understands that Family is the bedrock of what makes America great, although their are factions (BLM and other loose organizations) that have worked to break it down for a larger, collective form of government.

This statement holds a false premise that marriage is a requirement for procreation and/or procreation for marriage. On a legal level especially this is false. Mind you that in no way is a statement intended to lessen the responsibility of both the mother and father towards their offspring. If procreation is your argument for marriage, then anyone who is known to not be able to procreate, including the sterile and the elderly, should be prohibited from the legal state of marriage.

Based upon what evidence? If you want to use the idea of frequency or commonality, then by that definition, being left handed is a crime against nature. Define "crime against nature" and then show how that definition applies to same sex marriage, without using circular reasoning. Furthermore, show where marriage in and of itself is of nature, again, without circular reasoning.

By this logic do you also seek to deny couples who intend not to or are unable to have children from marriage?

Also, do you consider India a more powerful nation than the USA, because it has a much bigger population density?

Dude - the standard tax deduction for married filing jointly and single Americans was passed by a REPUBLICAN Congress in 1948.
Please stop with your fake stories. Republicans started this tax break for married couples.

Name the party of the then president?

What you said to the forum is due to Republican's, those who were married got taxes cut. Thank you very much.

But the tax imposed on the family was started by Democrats.

Same sex couples are similarly situated to elderly or infertile heterosexual couples, as well as heterosexual couples that do not have children, which also can receive this “tax break”.

There are tons of benefits to marriage — many of which are psychological and others that strengthen society as a whole — that fall far outside of these tax breaks that seem to be your issue.

You don’t hate them but view it as a crime against nature?... ok...

Homosexuality — both behavior and pairings — exist in nature and thus cannot be a crime against itself

Since you believe marriage is about procreation, what is your opinion on elderly heterosexual marriages? Infertile heterosexual couples marrying? What about couples that do not have children? Should they all be barred from marriage under your definition of it?
