For a short time, I confused the right leaning folks here at PF as being representative of all right leaning folks. I was relieved when I learned that not to be true - and it makes dealing with folks here much easier.

I could waste my time hunting down who kept what promises, and there are many, but that wasn't the point of my responses to Durandal. You also didn't understand what the comment 'how did Trump benefit from lying' actually was addressing.

 

President Trump is a pathological liar – he is lying even without any financial benefits. What financial or other benefit he could gain by lying that will work, work, work and not playing golf?

What financial or other benefit he could gain by telling his supporters that disinfectant injections with cure Covid-19?

But he will not miss any opportunity to get richer – the tax cut was sweet deal for real estate tycoons and the same with Chinese trademarks and ZTE.

 

What I highlighted pretty much tells me you haven't bothered to actually find out what he said, or the context of it.

1960, JFK vs NIXON was close.
"they stole the election fair & square"
1968, NIXON was not going to be cheated again.
